I was unaware of Chistina Wilhimina Anton.

I am from the Carl August Anton family line through son August Frederick Anton b. 1830 Zerbst, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany and his son August Frederick Anton.

Information I have on August Carl Anton is he was b. 1804 d. 1857 was married to Sophia Bertha Weigand b. unknown d. 1868

What I am wondering now is how she may be connected to my August Carl Anton. Maybe an aunt?

I have Christina Wilhilmina ANTON who married Ernst Friedrich UNBEHAUN in Querfurt, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany in 1820. Her father was Carl August Anton, mother unknown. Is anyone else researching this line?

I see this is a very old post but thought I would give it a shot anyway. I am the wife of Daniel Loren and his Mother was Heddy Anton! His father is also called Daniel Loren and is still living (he's 91). If you are still interested in more information and letting me know how you fit into the tree please contact me!

I discovered that my husband potentially has a half-sibling somewhere in this country, perhaps that's you?

I think you might descend from the siblings of my Grandpa Griegel. His name was Otto. He came from Lithuania to Philadelphia as a child, along with his family, around the turn of the century. I would love to hear about what happened to his siblings and share the little information I know about their immigration and background.

Donald Anton was my great uncle. His brother, Douglas, is my grandfather. If your associated with the name Baxter, you must be related to my Aunt Catherine, sister to Donald and Douglas. Catherine's son, Nelson Baxter, lived in California. My family visited often. Would love to compare notes with you.

Antons from Russia

Looking for information on Anton's from Russia. I have information on Abraham Anton, born 5/20/1884, son of Nathan Anton and Mary Utstein. Almost positive that Anton was changed at Ellis island but have NO idea how to source what it was originally. Also, i believe they were from an area of russia where borders changed and was at one point considered poland. Abraham married Byrdie Casin (born in NYC) and they had Edith , Harvey, and Leslie Anton. Looking for any and all information anyone may have! They all settled in the NY/NJ area!

I am only recently involved in genealogy, but I am also related by birth to the Anton family. Your grand father Albert George had 11 other siblings, including my maternal grandfather Norman Cecil Anton (1884-1918) - His daughter Phillis Ailsa (Felicia) ANTON is my mother. I think I have traced William back through to his father James, grandfather Robert and great grandfather George.

Transcribed from the Tupman Family Bible of Essex Co., VA. Bible is American Bible Society by D. & G. Bruce, New York 1819. A cousin in New Jersey, sent this to me. It lists Thomas Anton b. in the year of 1812
Thomas Anton was born the third of January in the year of 1812. Patsy Anton the 2nd wife of Thomas Anton was born the 13th day of July in the year of 1816.
Mary Elizabeth Anton was born in the year of 1838 by his wife Patsy Anton...
Patsy Anton died 11 of Nov 1888, 72 years 4 months 8 days.
Adolphus McTyre and Mary E. Anton was married November the 2, 1865.... There is a listing of children.
Adolph was in the Wwar Between the States and given the Cross of Honor. I have a copy of a message given to the Daughters of the Confederacy regarding Adolph.
Also the Bible was given to Patsy Anton by her mother Patsy Vawter/Vaiter/Vauter. Are you a descendant?

Have just started to work on my family tree. I have Banffshire connections with Ann Anton, born in Rothiemay in 1823. So far have worked the Anton connection back through Alexander Anton, George Anton and George Anton to 1705.

I am the daughter of a Manuel Anton and the granddaughter of a Manuel Anton of Spanish descent by way of Cuba. Anton is a very common surname in Spain. Do you have documentation that indicates your family is from Portugal or might they be from Spain?

Thanks. I've only got back to 1690ish so I've a fair bit to go to get back to 1066! I've been trying to find the origin of the name and so far it appears to be German but I've not found anything more accurate than that.

In 1974 I meet by chance John Anton,
he was a truck driver, and we got into a conversation about our name.
His ancestor, was a soldier of the Norman army, that invaded England, I cant remember the year.
Any way as I recall, his ancestor remained in England when Norman and his army went back to Normandy, and he settled in Scotland.
John Anton would now be deceased but a search of death register for Victoria Australia might find a clue for you.

Well, my name is Hints Zoltán, I live in Marosvásárhely city in Romania. I am researching the family's history and genealogy. I have information of Australian emigrants from the family, but still now, I was not able to research this branch of the family tree. When I saw your add on the internet, I decide to contact You, to find out if we are related.
Why is here a great probability to be a connection with the same Hints family? Because in hungarian this is a very rare name. Till now I find out only two Hints families in the formal Hungary. One is emigrant from the Cheh Republic. They arrived in Marosvásárhely (today: Tg Mures) during the WW 1. The son of this emigrant is Hints Ottó, who married Axeniuc Mária. At the moment they are leaving in Hungary, in Jászapáti. The other Hints family is what I'm researching for. This family is original from Farkaslaka (in this days: Lupeni) village. From there they went to Kolozsvár (Cluj Napoca) and Marosvásárhely. From here a part of family went in other countries. There is a USA branch, an Australian, a Swedish and who know what other branches.

My wife, Yvonne (Ficker) is the niece of Agnes. She is the dua. of her brother, William.

I have quite a lot of ancestral info for Ficker, Beissel, Anton, Holzemer and all of their ancestors. I have quite the line of Hasbrouck (Hasbrook) also.

I've been wanting to contact Duane, Lyle, Delores or Lois for a long time now, to extract your family information. I don't have any of their spouse's names or offspring details, only what my wife recalls. We went to visit Art and Agnes in 1982 and visited with Duane and Lyle too. But I was not at all part of genealogy at the time. We were taking my mother-inlaw to visit all of the aunts and uncles one last time (including 6 of 11 Fickers). Aunt Lizzie died a week later at 85 and Aunt Agnes dies 3 months later of cancer.

Perhaps you can have your mother, aunt or uncles write to me and I will give them Yvonne's email address. I am at tpea@Christian.net and would really love to hear from you/them.

My husbands grandfather was Harold Anton b 1905, we know of 6 other borthers,Jack, Albert, Leonard, Percy, Sidney & Robert. Their father John Thomas Anton married to Maud Mary nee Vine in about 1897

I'm not sure if we're connected or not, but I have an old newspaper obituary from Sandusky, Michigan of James Anton. In the obit, it says one son James Anton lived in New York state.
