I am the granddaughter of Pedro A. Apolinar and I am looking for any of my relatives. He was born in 1915 in Creedmoore, TX and died in Minnesota I believe in 1956. He was married to Dora Gonzalez in Allende, Coahuila. My dad, Pedro H. Apolinar, is his son. He has 7 siblings, of which 2 are deceased. He believes my grandfather had some more children with a woman named Angela or Angelita Perez. He would like to get in touch with his half siblings. DOD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

They died May 29, in Wardak province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device. They were assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, N.C.

Killed were: (see link for complete release)

Staff Sgt. Martin R. Apolinar, 28, of Glendale, Ariz.

Gina, Have you ever meet or hear any family from Allende? I remember a long time ago (like 12 years), some family from California visited Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. I do not remember any names (I only remember that he was an old uncle with some of his daugthers), but if you want to get in touch send me an e-mail (buho_raul@hotmail.com) and I'll ask my father, he knows most of the old members of the family.

Every single Apolinar is from the same family. As Humberto said, there are a lot of siblings in each family, some of them went to California, some others to Texas, but most of the family is in Coahuila and Texas. By the way, my name is Raul Apolinar, my father is Jose Angel Apolinar (has 7 brothers and 2 sisters, Jesus, Gonzalo, Gaspar, Eustanislao, Luis, Arturo, Carlos, Carmela and Yolanda), my grandfather is Jesus Apolinar, we live in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. Hi. This is your sister, Jo Ann Apolinar McMahon in Roswell, GA. It's been so long since I've written. I lost Summer's email address. I was happy to read your message online. I'm sure you know by now that I have 4 children; David (29), Laura (27), Renee (26) and Susan (22). I now have one precious granddaughter, Taylor Madison McMahon-Drown. She is 2 yrs, 4 months. I work as an Investor Relations Manager for a mortgage company. My husband, Rick and I own a remodeling company and we have been married for 31 yrs. I left Texas in 1987 during the recession. Please let me know more about you. I wish I had known all of you when I was younger. I can't remember your/my dad at all. I do remember my grandfather, Lee. I live in California with my family I'm married with kids .
My grandmother frances apolinar was married to lee apolinar and had three kids my dad albert his brother bob and a sister sylvia who all lived in san antonio texas. And moved to California when my dad married my mom Elia they had seven kids.

Sorry Daniel. I was really trying to find my brothers and sisters. I wasn't really interested in the origin of my last name, however I did find out some interesting facts. One of them was that my great-grandmother was German and I did find my siblings.

I read at the musuem exhibit held here in Atlanta that Apolinar came from the Greeks. My suggestion would be to go to the library and start there.
