Searching for Sara App married a Missemer Pennsylvania

I am trying to find info on a Sarah/Sara App who married a Missimor or Messimor and had a daughter known as Carrie or Carol but name was Carolyn. There may have also been a daughter named Isabella.

Carol, Carrie married George Panebaker and lived in Spruce Hill.

Anne H. App, 78, a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bethesda, died Dec. 14 of lymphoma at an assisted living facility in Hickory, N.C.

Mrs. App lived in Bethesda for nearly 40 years. She moved to Atlantic Beach, Fla., in 1997 and to Hickory in 2006.

She was a member of St. Luke's for 35 years and served on its vestry, including a term as senior warden. She was also a lay minister.

Rose Anne Hendrickson was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and attended Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va.

In 1981, she receive a certificate in theology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn.

She spent 10 years as a consultant with Project Head Start, a federal education and anti-poverty initiative focused on children.

Mrs. App enjoyed jazz and ornithology.

Jimmy App, her husband of 43 years, died in 1995.

Survivors include three children, Lawrence App of Atlantic Beach, Joel App of Gaithersburg and Cynthia Owen of Lenoir, N.C.; a brother; and three grandchildren.

Hi, I know this thread is a bit old but I was going through some items I bought at a yardsale a few years ago that contained some old pictures. They appeared to have come from long beach island nj possibly ship bottom. Anyway, some of the pictures were labeled and are from early 1910s, 1920s etc. Some of the names on the pictures are: Maude App Stone b. morristown, nj d. colorado. There were some other names such as william haines, fred haines, hannah budd, etc. Couple from a house in long beach island nj address 107 27th street Ship Bottom NJ. There was also an Eva Haines App and Leon App. Are any of these in your line?

In doing research, I have discovered that my great grandfather Robert B. Miller married Mary Jane Ritter after the Civil War and had a daughter named Olive in 1872. Could this be the same Mary Jane you speak of? she was born in 1839 and died in 1890 in Paint Rock, AL.

My Mothers side of the family has the App Family Bible, where I've gotten most of my info. from. I'm a descendant of Caroline App, John's sister. John App married Leanna C. Donner of the "Donner Party" fame. They resided in Jamestown, Tuolumne Co. CA. I'm trying to locate information on Caroline App, ie marriage, or death. All I do know of her is that she was born in Selinsgrove PA and that she had a daughter named Ida.

I, too, descend from Michael App but my line is through Anna Maria App, sister to Mathias. She married Leonard Heasley (there were many variations of the spelling). They died in Westmoreland County but some of their offspring went to Venango County also. I also show the Sept 23, 1752 date. I'm looking for information on Michael App's first wife, Elizabeth Polsie (as I have seen her referred to). I don't know where the info comes from - have heard that Mathia's brother Frederick had a bible record. Do you know where documents can be found about Elizabeth? I know when she died and is buried but only reference is to Elizabeth App.

You said you had lots of Apps info. i am starting to research my g.g grandfather William J. Apps b:4 May,1826 in England. He married Mary Ann Collison in 1849in Boughton Malherbr, Kent Eng.They had three children: John b:19 march,1856, Charlotte b:12 Feb,1867, Jenny b:10 Aug.,1859. all born in Morrisonville,N.Y. William served in the Civil War, N.Y. infantry from 1861-1865. he died 18 June1916 in morrisonvill buried in union cemetary. I have Johan Michael App immigrated on 9/23/1752 (same as your listing showing 1751?). His son was Matthias App (10/23/1761-3/14/1823). His children were Mary Regina (Rachel) App and Johan Frederick App (approx. 1790-1842). My whole family line is from Venango. Do you think we have the same Michael?

My grandfather, Harry T. Cholister's... sister... Mary Cholister married Clayton App. They had children Walter and Mary App. They lived in Cherry Hill NJ on Church Rd. for years. I have a lot on the Cholister's and App's.
I've been in touch with a couple of App's granddaughter's..
If you'd like...I can mail you the history that I have if you're related. A lot of Cholister's and App's are buried in Colestown Cemetary in Cherry HIll. I have all the graves listed on letterhead. My great grandfather was the ground keeper and lived there years ago!

Grandmother Ethel App married Walter Stevens m 1923 in Morristown NJ. Grandmothers Father Thomas Newell App m Elizabeth (Lizzie) Heal. Thomas's father was Jacob App and wife was Anna Parnell. Anna was from Camden NJ and the Philly area. Thomas , Lizzie are buried in Morristown.
Jacob App had Thomas ,J.Amon,Harvy,Bertha,Michael Herny,Josephene and Catherine.

Howdy Donna i hope that what i sent you tries in. Are we talking about the same Michael? I live so far away i can not research much . Just by the internet and librarys because I now live in Texas I moved away from N. J. in 1980. The closest library that has NJ. or PA. Census is San Antonio a hundered miles from here .I live in Cuero Tx. I have lost contact with all kin from NJ and Northern states.

Have you found more inf. on the connection on my Michael App and your Michael .
The only thing i have found out about Michael was he was born abt 1801 died Sep 10 1874 and married Nov 28 1824 Phebe Pike born 1803 died Feb 26 1880 in Swedesboro N J
both are buried in Colestown Cem Burlington Co N J.
I have alot of family history from Michael to now but no inf, on his parents.

Hi You all.
I know vary little about my relatives with the surname Cholister. All i know is that my Grandmothers father Thomas Newell App had two Aunts that married Cholister's.
Mary married Chas. Cholister and had 8 children ? and that Sarah married Chas Cholister and had one child. My Grandmother was Ethel App they lived in Morrestown NJ.
Are we relatied? My Grandmother had a sister that lived in Morrestown untile her death in the mid 60's.

Seeking Relations to Kenneth W. APP

I am seeking the relations to Kenneth W. APP who was Killed in Action during WWII. Kenneth was part of the Headquarters Battery of the 202d Field Artillery Battlaion, and had been a special duty operator with the 2nd French Division at Strasbourg France when the city was bombarded. He was awarded posthumusly the Silver Star for his service with the 202d Field Artillery Battalion.

I am compiling a history of the Battalion for the veterans and thier family members, and this information might be most significant to the family of Mr. App. Please feel free to contact me.

As the train on the cannelton Branch of the Ari Line was on her first return trip Monday mornnign the engine left the track on the Hubb's farm. about a mile and half below Tell City, carrying the entire train with it and injuring more or less nearly every passendger on board.....
the engineer J. App, of Evansville was cut about the head. and the fireman J. Toole was scaled pretty bad...

I am researching John App and would appreciate any help you can give me.
I have information about John App coming west with a party from Ohio and Indiana in 1852.
They arrived in Sonora (next to Jamestown) in September and a week or two later John App
married Leanna Donner. Can this be the same John App? Could he have known the Donners
from Illinois?
I also have information about their descedants here in California if anyone wants it.

I am the greatgranddaughter of Adam App. He was married to a woman named Sophie. They had four sons--Adam, George, Philip and Charles. I believe he was born in Phila. and died in the early 1950's. He ran a coal and ice business called Adam App and Sons located in Phila. My grandfather was George Washington App. Also born in Phila. and died in 1969. He lived in Yeadon, PA. and was married to a Grace Lindwurm. They had two children: George Adam App, Sr. and Grace Elizabeth App. Both are still living. George Adam App, Sr. is my father. I am trying to track down the ancestors of Adam App. We believe it to be German ancestry, but are not sure. Thanks.
