My name is Edward J. Archer, my Grandfather was Cloyse Lyle Archer. His father was Francis Marion Archer and his father was George W. Archer.

I am just getting started again a would love to team up. I know I have relatives in Canada by the name of Williams. My Aunt Opal and Uncle Ed were two of my favorite.

I am also related, but through his second wife, Martha Harryman and on down to my Great-grand Father, William Henry Snyder, his son, R. P.(or Pearl) to my Father, Wayne T. Snyder. This is all very interesting, isn't it. It's how I spend a lot of my time as I am pretty much home bound now.

i told my Mom about this post and this is what she told me: they lived west of greensburg,Knox CO.,MO and are buried in PLeasant View Cemetery Greensburg,Knox CO.,MO. My G-G Grand-dad Norton and grandma use to go and visit them on sundays, and Mom said that Aunt Martha hit her husband in the attic all during the war so the southerns would not find him, she was deathly afraid of them, and he was a fraily little bitty guy.
If you will get a hold of me by my email I will give you the name of the living Dye family members so that you all can compare notes.

I am a descendant of John Dye and his first wife Nancy Archer. Martha Harryman was his second wife. John and Nancy were my G G Grandparents. I come down from their daughter Celia who was married in Scotland Co in 1852. She and her husband John Roberts along with 4 of her sisters and their spouses came across the plains in 1853 to California.

I look forward to hearing if your sister finds anything. The other option I was thinking about is if the cemetery has any records. Does your sister know of any Dye descendants still in the area?

good afternoon, by any chance would yo be a decendent of John & Martha Jane Harryman Dye? If you can you shoud get your hands on the book "Biblegrove and the surrounding Area" it has several Dye family pictures and a lot of stories about them in it, with dates.
I have my sister in law looking in the biblegrove cem. for your date of death, she lives there,and walks by there every morning so she will look for you. so as soon as I find out anything I will let you know.

I need proof of the death of Nancy Archer Dye 1808-1857. She was the daughter of James Archer & Rebecca Enochs, and wife of John Dye 1804-1872. I have seen her death in Scotland Co., MO listed as 23 Jan 1857. There is a stone for her in the BibleGrove Cemetery but I cannot read a date on it from the photographs I have seen. I am working on a DAR application.

Benjerman Lincon (link) Roberts was my great grandfather he was born in 1860 and married Sarah Archer sep 5 1885 in Newport Jackson county ARK Sarah was born 1860 and Passed in 1896 she was bur west of newport Jackson county Ark Robinson cemetery.

Could Your Dwight be Vernon Dwight Archer (He went by Dwight)?
I have him b. 1915 d.1954 in CA. He actually was called "Sonny" by his parents.
However,I have him married to Betty Young in 1934.
Could be Marjorie was a 1st wife that I have no record of.
Vernon Dwight Archer was my Cousin

Suggest you check with George Archer of the Archer Association. Google: "Archer Association"
Several Archer families moved from Kentucy's north border counties into Indiana's southern counties in the late 1700's
early 1800's. Abe Lincoln's family did this BTW.
I believe George Archer had an Archer Family with a son named Jesse who moved from KY to IN.
For added historical note Google: "The Archer Gang" There appears to have been a crimminal element that ran in one of the Archer lines in and around Orange County IN back then.

David (Manerva Archer) Krugh is my g g grandfather.
My line goes: David-Corwin-Elizabeth Krugh Reynolds Bares-Kenneth George Reynolds-Kevin Allen Reynolds.
I have a tree here on Rootsweb and also at Ancestry. The Ancestry tree is a little more extensive. At Ancestry see " My Big Oak And All Her Leafs".

he was called Wallace by his family . His mother was millicent Hanes and father was George Archer from ancaster/Lynden Ontario. He had 2 sisters, Sadie Amber who died in 1987 and verna Priscilla who died as a child. MY mothe was named after her. He had 2 brothers, Earl and Sterling who was my grandfather.

Gerald: Do you have the names of Helen Page's parents or her siblings? My Page family is highly likely to be connected as my great grandmother Isobella ms Mackintosh Page died in Strathmiglo in 1904. Most of my Page's lived in Strathmiglo and Kirkcaldy.

Helen Page, born about 1824 in Strathmiglo, Fife.
Married James Archer, born about 1820. Birthplace is listed in 1851 census as Forfar, Ketows(?) - whatever that is. He was a wood-forester. They married April 28, 1844. Five known children. One daughter, Helen, born 17 Nov., 1845 is my great-grandmother. She died on 4 January, 1927 in Saugus, Massachusetts.

I found that Estella was born 25 Jun 1876 and died 30 Jan 1954. She was born in Curran, Sangamon, Illinois and died in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon.

I am the great-great-great granddaughter of Robert Lawrence Reimal, (b 2/15/1872 in Madison Co, OH - d Feb 1923 in Rooks Co, KS). His father was Jacob Henry Reimal (b 1848 in Franklin Co, OH - d. 1924 in Paola, KS) and married three times that I know of -- Mary Archer of Madison Co, OH, Viola Wheeler of IL, and Maggie Casida Poteet Reimal of NE. I would love to share any information that I have.

Born 1 Feb 1852 at Tamworth, England. His mother was Harriett Archer. No father is recorded. Harriett's parents were John Archer and Jane Birch.
John Archer married Eliza Ann Allwood on 11 April 1873 at the Parish Church, Hucknall-Torkard, England.
I can't find anymore information re Harriett.

I was just wondering because my grandfather and great grand were married to mulatto sisters, Indian, and they came from SC and were children of Josephine Pauline Clark and John G. Smith. They were both Archers but the Smith family came up to Ohio and that's where they married them. Let me know if you find anything out on the Logan County Archers and I will keep you on the list of inquirers. Nice to talk to you.

I found pictures identified as Nort and Vin Archer and then one with Vin and child Patricia and one with Nort and child Gary. The pictures were from a photography studio in Paso Robles, California. I understand that this family was friends with my uncle and aunt, Syd and Edna Kauffman. The Kauffman's lived in Sacramento, California. I would like to return them to the Archer family.

I have family buried at Evandale cem.
Evandale cemetery has 300 UNNAMED convict graves

1843 At the lent Assizes, Edwin Archer, a young labourer from Rouse Lench, was tried for the wilful murder of George Green, in previous dec. He pleaded guilty to the crime of manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years transportation.
the prisoner deceased had been quarrelling, and set about to wrestle, in the struggle, Archer drew a knife and stabbed Green in four places, one of the wounds penetrating the heart and death immediately ensued. as soon as the fatal deed was done, Archer was aghast.

my g.g.grandfather was Edwin Archer; born 1924, Church Lench, Worcestershire, England; convicted of manslaughter, 4 Mar 1843 @ Worcester Assize; Penal Transportation 3 July - 15 Oct 1943, aboard "Lord Petrie"; Accidentally killed (!!!) 25 Feb 1853 @ Morven Tasmania.

A very remote possibility - my g. g. grandfather was sentanced to transportation in 1843, 1ne died in Tasmania in 1853, while still serving his sentance. Any use / interest?
