Re: Candido and Ramona (Miranda) Arellano

I don't know if you are still out there. I found a post while cruising around the internet. I happen to know The Arellano family. In fact I am married to one of Candido and Ramona's grandsons. There were actually nine children. Three are still living. Jesus,Julio, Elmo, Lumberto, Elissa, Hortencia, Lilly, Ofelia and my father-in-law the youngest Henry. Henry is now in his late 80's. He, Ofelia (Babe) and Lilly are the three surviving children. In the past few months both the sisters have gone to live in retirement homes. Up to the last few years they lived in Superior Az. Which is where they relocated to all those years ago. Henry has lived in San Diego Ca for most of his adult life. He is a wonderful man. I am very blessed to have him in my life. I would love to hear more about your connections to my family. My husband and I have two children and a grandchild. I have been trying to get a little family history to pass down to them. Daddy has such wonderful memories of being on the ranch with his father. I met your Grandmother on several occassions she was a sweet lady. I know Henry misses her greatly

Hi. I am tracing descendants of Manuel Arellano and Filomena. I am related to Filomena. I have in our extensive family tree the names of their 8 children. One of them is Silvio Ciriaco Arellano born June 18, 1915 (I have a copy of his birth certificate). Manuel's family used to lived in 914 O'Donell St. (now Severino St.) in Sta Cruz, Manila about the year Silvio was born.

I am interested to know more about Manuel and Filomena. Pls reply on my email gd_cruz@yahoo.com

Cheers,
Gilbert
Wow thats going to be a little hard, but the last name Caloca also comes from parts of Jalisco, Im sure theyre speaking about El Teul zacatecas and the surroundings. The part of Jalisco that i am speaking about is like 3 hours from Zacatecas, near Tlaltenango. Its called San Martin de Bolanos Jalisco, you pass small towns of Zacatecas to get to this town. And most of the people are realted.

Hi i dont know how old this blog is, but I jus happened to come up with this page. My parents last names are Caloca and Arellano. I know were Tlatenango and el Teul are. Ive been there many times. Well theyre last names come from ranches near San Martin de Bolanos. My dad tells me that his grandparents were huicholes. Thats probably were the last name Caloca comes from. My mother is green eyes and guerita. I guess her desendents are the Spaniards that decided to stay in Jalisoc back then. There are lots of people with these last names all over Jalisco and parts oF Zacatecas.
