Looking for descendants of Petra Montoya Armendariz

I am not part of this family but I came across some V-Mail that was sent to Mrs. Petra M Armendariz in Los Angles, CA from her nephew R.L. Lucero, who was stationed aboard the USS Cascade during WWII. If anyone is part of this family or knows how I can contact them please let me know so I can see if they would like me to send them the information.

I'm looking for my Armendariz ancestors, if anyone has any info, that would be great!

My grandfather was Francisco Armendariz, born in Hidalgo Del Parral, Chihuahua, Mex. in 1908. He was the third child of eight, all born in Mex. and the the latter three born in California. He died in Orange, California in 1961.

His parents were Francisco (born 1882-Mex.) and Victoria (Martinez) Armendariz (born 1884-Mex.). After that, I have no other information and would greatly appreciate any help. I've spent countless hours searching the LDS site, Ancestry.com, Geneology.com, etc...with only dead ends.

Hello my name is Alfonso Alvarado. My mothers maiden name is Anita Armendariz and her father is Alfonso Manuel Armendariz and grandfather is Manuel Armendariz born in 1898 in Chihuahua Mexico. I came to recent disovery that they come from the Basque region of Spain. I am trying to build a family tree and would love to see what you have on this. I understand the Basque people where annex by Spain but trying to trace our route back to Basque. Very exciting to know what you have. Thank you very much.

Hi. Just found your post and was on the phone with my friend Veragail who was having me look up stuff on her family tree. Her paternal name is Armendariz and was originally from the Basque area of Spain and immigrated to the Chihuhua, Mexico area quite some time ago (probably during the Inquisition) and finally ended up in Orange County, CA. I don't know if they are any relation but could be. Her father's first name was Vincent. My great grand parent was from Valle de Allende,
Francisco Armendariz,he was born in 1810 or 1820,and got married with Candelaria Vazquez
his son was Blas Armendariz, born in 1849, and died in 1937
Do you have any information on any of these 2 persons?

Ernie I am descendent from Francisco Armendariz and Candelaria Vazquez,
both from Valle de Allende or Talamantes Chih.,
he was born at the beggining of 1800's

I am Rafael Soto Armendariz, and we are building our family three, in Chihuahua Mexico.
we have data from Blas Armendariz Vazquez, born in 1849,
son of Francisco Armendariz and Candelariz Vazquez,
Francisco was born in Mexico and his father was born in Spain.

I'm descended from Francisco Xavier Joseph Asque y Armendariz Hierro who was born on March 16, 1697 in Valle de Allende, Chihuahua who married Juana de Dios Barraza Calahorra who was born in Villa Ocampo, Durango.

Through their daughter, Maria Anna Simona Armendariz Barraza born November 6, 1740, who married Jose Antonio Rodriguez Caro who was born around 1722 in Hidalgo del Parral, Chihuahua.

My Armendariz branch supposedly came from Santa Cruz de Rosales. There seems to be a lot of Armendariz's from around the area of Chihuahua. Have you research who may have been the first Armendariz in the region? Maybe some of the branches, etc.

I live in california and Armendariz is a common name. I've met some people with the last name "Armendariz". I actually have a friend whose last name is armendariz as well. My family is from chihuahua, mx as well. What part of chihuahua are you from? So our last name is from Basque?

I don't think so. There were no Portillos in my ancestry. I have an uncle Ramon, but his father was named Gregorio.

Hello. My name is Gloria. Gregorio Armendariz was definitly my father. He had five other brothers and two sisters. They are all deceaced. My father was the last to go. He passed away in March 16 of 2000. His brothers were Nicholas, Martin, Lorenzo, "Alberto" Gregorio and Fausto. The two sisters were Jesusita and Basilisa. I beleive they had an adopted sister named Victoria.
Around 1992 I met your husband's father at my father's house and one time he came to my house. Never heard from him again.

Angelica,I have a Ramón Armendariz in my family tree. He was my uncle. However, if Mynes is you dad's mother's maiden name, then mine is Romero. So, I don't think that we may come from the same branch.

It has been interesting that almost all of the Armendariz's that I have talked all started in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Mine came from San Buenavertura, Chihuahua and around Chihuahua city for the earlier family.

Most of my branch are in Mexico. they all seemed to have drifted back to Mexico around the '20s from Clifton, Arizona. My brother is in Los Angeles and his son is in Portland. Oregon. I'm in Memphis, TN and my son is in St. Louis, Mo.
