I fouond some information on Martin Augustin while searching the Michael Augustin Family. A book written by a Augustin family member "The Mulligan Prairie" Has the following information on Martin. According to this book Michael and Martin are brothers. Martin Augustin - born in UtteraRappendorf, Bavaria, Germany. Married Walburga Brey in Pittsberg. PA. Children of Martin Augustin and Walburga Brey are: 1. Frank 2. Monica (Mrs. George Rubey) 3. Anna (Mrs. Albert Schramm) 4. Mary (Mrs. John Veigel and 4. Joseph B. Augustin born sept 23, 1859, Married Ida Huiras, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Huiras

It also notes that Martin and Michael Augustin's parents are Joseph Augustin and Katharina Ponkratz.Joseph had a twin brother , Wenclaus Kurticey Augustin. Martin was born in 1816 and Michael in 1819, If this is your man the book also has three more pages of information on his life and his children. I don't know Perino's birth date; but I think someone in that branch of the family put together a full geneology from Perino downward to the present, so they may know it. I suggest you contact the office of Albert Augustine who is District Justice in Skippack and ask them for contact info to whichever of his relatives made that geneology.

I am trying to find out Pierino's birthday. I am his grandchild and I want to get my dual citizenship. I was told that Pierino and Luisetta lied in Reading before they cane to Norristown.

I have met some of Tavia's children and would love to meet any other cousins. I live in Skippack and have a twin brother Bruce John Ceasar Augustine. My father was Albert A A Augustine born March 4th 1916.

Prestley Augustine, born 1848, son of Joseph/Maria, lived Grundy Co., IL & Allen Co./Bourbon Co., KS

I have an original, early carte de visite photograph of “Prest Augustine”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Morris (Grundy Co.) IL in about 1865-1870, and he looks about age 18-20.

I found Prestley Augustine in the 1870 census for Braceville (Grundy Co.) IL, age 22, born in Ohio, with his parents Joseph (age 52) and Maria (48). In 1880, Prestley and his mother and sister lived in Elm (Allen Co.) Kansas, and his age is listed as 27. By 1900, he still lived in Allen Co., as "Presley”, with birthdate of Jul 1848. No wife is listed but his four children and his 53 y/o sister lived with him. Children were born 1884 to 1890, named Edna, Harrison P., George P. and Allen. In 1910, he lived in Bourbon Co., KS, a fruit farmer, age 60, married to Minnie.

My father was Clyde Herbert Augustine, his father was Parley Augustine his wife was Eva Odessa Conrad. I beleive
Parley was the son of John Augenstein and Emily from Ohio,USA.

I have searched everywhere I am stumped I cant find any census or records for Lawrence Hodur who married Agatha Kwasnik,both from Poland.My grandmother Tekla Hodur Regan was born 29 dec 1909 Chicago,Il she was baptized on 01 jan 1910,
her sponsors were Felix Swiatek and Tekla Hodur,My gram was raised by cousins have no clue what happened to her parents.

I found out a cousins name Apolonia Prorock who was in contact with my gram in 1968,but that is all I know any help would be greatly appreciated.

not sure you still check this site but as I was searching for our grandfather's last name, I found your message...I spoke to A. Molly last night and she said that our grandmother's first name may have been chesarina and not cecilia...her last name was forte.

I may just have to go to italy to their commune (municipality) in ascoli piceno and look for the documents.

Hi -- I am trying to research my family "Augustine" as well. They too seem to go back & forth from Rapides Parish (Alexandria) and Avoyelles Parish (Marksville). Do you have a family tree for the Augustines or know anyone that I can speak with. My grandfather was Joseph Sydney Lucius Augustine. His parents were Betty Ann Kennedy Augustine & Paul Augustine. Joseph was born in 1899. His siblings...all Augustines and born in the early 1900s were Aaron, Adolph, Mammie, Cresia or Aresia. Joseph left Louisiana and resided in St. Louis from the 1030's until his death in 1980. Any help is appreciated.

THanks for offering your research to others. Can't quite hit the 1850 mark, but I'm hoping maybe you can make a connection for me.

My line goes back to George Augustine b Feb 1855 in Missouri. Likely Grand Fork area as that is where he is later. I have census records which give that birth date. Married Mary Auer Jun 1879.

Any chance you can find his parents in your records? Unfortunately, the 1880 census gives MO as place of birth for both parents. 1900 gives Germany.

The family out of Loretto, Tennessee came from Reinheim, Germany / Bliesbrucken France in 1828 via a Johannes Paul Augustin born 1823/4. The father was a Johannes Peter. Paul had a son William Henry Augustin. Some of the Ochs who traveled with Peter and Paul settled in Stark, Ohio. They came over with the Augustin's in 1828.

My grandfather William R. Augustine was born in Tennessee in 1894. His father was William S. Augustine who was born in Indiana in 1868. The 1900 US Census shows William S. and Mary E. (nee?) living in Tennessee with their children William R. and Georgia F. (born 1897).

I have tracked my family back to Henry A. Augustine who was born in 1795. I can locate him back the 1820 US Census when he was living in the Stark Township of Ohio with his wife Nancy and their kids.

Hello, Rebecca was the sister of Samuel M. Augustine who was my G_G_Grandfather. Apparently the "family" moved to the Vandalia, IL area (Fayette County) Her father was Andrew Augustine from Ohio and that's as far as I can go back. I'd love to share any information you have on our family.

Hello, I'm trying to trace back beyond Andrew Augustine. Have you any mention of him in your research? He moved apparently to Ohio in 1809 and he married Elizabeth Schlosser (also spelled Slusser) on July 2, 1810. They both died of cholera in 1834 in Lawrence Twp, Stark County, Ohio. He was my G_G_G_Grandfather and was supposedly born in Maryland sometime in the late 1700's. I've reached a dead end at this point. Thanks Frank Augustine ...

This is some great information. From what I've found so far, there must have been several Augustine families to settle in Pennsylvania. In particular, I'm trying to trace farther than my G-G-G-Grandfather. His name was Andrew Augustine. He was born in Maryland (no date) and died in 1834 in Lawrence Twp, Stark County, Ohio. He married Elizabeth Schlosser on July 2, 1810. They had 8 children of which Samuel M. Augustine was my G-G-Grandfather. Both he and Elizabeth died of cholera in 1834. I think his parents lived in Pennsylvania but I can find no more information linking Andrew further than Ohio. His decendents wound up in Illinois (where I reside).. Help :)

I have traced my maternal ancestors as far back as George AUGUSTINE b.11Feb.1780,Pennsylvania d.3May 1868,Humberstone Township Ontario Canada. He was married to Mary STONER b.5 Jan.1786,Pennsylvania. I know that George had six siblings.(Rosanna b.7Jan.1782,Pa;John b.17Oct.1782,Pa;Marie Anna b.7July 1792 Maryland; Jacob;Samuel;Abraham b.24 Oct.1794 Pa.) I had always been told growing up that our family name had originally been von Augensteinberg (or burg) but had been changed when they were forced out of Prussia. I have never been able to get that branch of my tree back to Europe... yet.

My grandfather changed the spelling of his name from Augenstine to Augenstein. I think he may have been changing it back to the original-ish spelling. His father was Philip Charles Augenstine born October 1882/84 in Ohio and married to a Blanche Bell Richardson. Philip Charles' father was John Augenstine married to Phoebe Elizaabeth Staumbaugh.

I have found Philip Charles on the 1930 census but not before ... only Charles married to someone else. If ANYBODY could please help me I would greatly greatly appreciate it!!!

I am looking for ancestors of my great-grandfather, Eberhard Augustine, born 1813 in Greven, Germany, Married Elizabeth Ann Becker in 1864, in Munster, Germany, Died in Dyersville, IA 1900.
He was the father of Francis Xavier Augustine, born Feb 2, 1875 in Dyersville, IA.

Is Totty Don still active..no posts seen since 2001.

My great-grandmother was Amanda Lavina Augustine, born 2/25/1859. She married JB Struchen 3/18/1882. Their daughter, Etta Fern Struchen was my paternal grandmother.

Amanda Lavina Augustine was the daughter of Isaac Augustine and Susannah Yambert. They were married 3/19/1850 in Ohio. Susannah Yambert Augustine was born May 23, 1832 in Seneca County, Ohio and died October 31, 1909 near Center Point, Iowa.

I know that many of the Augustine family and Struchens lived or died in Iowa.

I have an obit for a Theresa Augstine nee Millbauer (born 1884) who was married to Joseph Augustine. She was married in New York and lived in Taylor county Wisconsin. Joseph died in 1906. Theresa died in 1942 Children of Joseph and Theresa are Theresa born 10-9-1875, Peter born 26 Jul 1870, Mary born 23 Mar 1872, Anna born 18 Nov 1873, Joseph born 02 Oct 1877, Louise born 17 Jan 1881 and Ida born 01 Jan 1880. I have other info.
