Classification: Query
Surnames: Bach, Emert
His parents (my ancestors) were Adam and Eva Maria (Emert) Bach from the Niederstetten, Jaqstkreis, Wurtemburg, Germany area. His siblings were Franz Joseph Bach, Johann Conrad Bach, Leonhard Michel Conrad Bach, and M. Catharina Bach (birth dates unknown). We do not know how many of his siblings or parents came to America, but if they did, they probably settled in the Philadelphia, PA area. There may still be descendants of theirs in Germany. Michel or Michael Franz was baptised in the Catholic Church in Niederstetten according to civil records. In 1860 his residence was listed as Burgbracht Biedengen Hessen Darmstadt. He then came to Philadelphia between 1860 and 1861, and became a successful carriage maker in Philadelphia. I have also obtained travel records of the following Bachs coming from Neiderstetten to Philadelphia: 1854: Ernst Simon Bach b 11 Mar 1834, Johann Andreas born 15 Oct 1803, and arriving in 1864: Margaretta Bach born 4 Apr 1836 and Rosina Maria Bach born 7 June 1864 - age 1 month. These are likely relatives.
Thanks!
