Have got past my brick wall and found the parents of john Baguley b. 17.10.1760 d. bef. 1855 m. 5.2.1788 to Elizabeth Barns b. ? d. bef. 1855. John Baguley's parents were Richard Baguley and Hannah Wilcock m. 13.12.1759 at Cathedral Manchester Lancashire. Still unsure who Elizabeth Barns parents are and I only know the about one of Elizabeth & John Baguley children which is Adams side as that is the side I descend from would love to know more about the other's William b.?, Hannah b.1788, Richard b.1794, John b.1799 and James b.1801if someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly apprecated. I have been working on the Australian descendants of Samuel Baguley (born c.1822 in Hulme, Manchester, England), son of a John Baguley described as a spinner in Samuel's 1844 marriage to Anne Hulmes. Samuel was a packing case maker.

I am happy to share information, and would like to hear from anyone with details about John and his family. (A John Bagley [sic] is named as a packing case manufacturer in Slater's 1855 Directory of Lancashire, p.373.)

I would love to hear from anyone, who has a connection with Alfred John Baguley (son of Samuel & Anne), who migrated to Australia 1882. Alfred had a sister, Sarah Elizabeth, who stayed in Macclesfield, England. She married Joseph Dawson in 1873, then David Ferneyhough in 1880, and then George Riddlesworth in 1896. Sarah died in 1907. Apparently Sarah had five children, Alfred, Bertha, Tilly, Clara and Walter.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am a grt grt grandson of Alfred and his wife Emma (Gladwin).

Alfred John Baguley who arrived in Sydney in 1883, had a sister Sarah Elizabeth Baguley b 1844, and two other brothers Samuel b 1856 and Walter b 1852 d 1899 who also emigrated to Australia. Walter had 9 children Alfred John b 1880, Ethel May b 1881, Emily Margaret b 1883 d 1884, Florrie Sarah 1885, Evelyne 1888, Grace Alice 1889, Francis James 1893, Margaret Annie 1894, Jessie Pearl 1896.

Bryan H. Baguley, 52, of Muscatine died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at his home following a battle with cancer.

Services will be held at a later date in Toronto, Canada. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Baguley was born July 23, 1949, the son of Hugh and Rita Walker Baguley. He married Joan Schoo on April 14, 1973, in Toronto.

He and his wife celebrated 26 years of marriage.

He was the director of international sales for BT Prime-Mover and was recently recognized for 26 years of employment.

He was a member of the Geneva Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, deep sea fishing and traveling.

He was admired by his family and his clients.

Survivors include his mother; Joan Baguley of Muscatine; two daughters, Lisa Kuhn and her husband, Steve, of Oxford, N.C. and Becky Baguley of Muscatine; a brother, Glenn Baguley of Toronto; and a sister, Coleen Richardson and her husband, Ron, of Whitby, Canada.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Martha later married Robert WHITTLE 28 Jan 1828 in Radford, Nottinghamshire. They emmigrated to the US in the 1840's with their children.

Hello all, I am searching for information about the family Baguley, also related to Williams and Van Der Linde. At some stage lived at Logden Boleham in Shrewsbury.
Looking for the Father of Kathleen Mary Baguley/Williams born 23 Sept 1919 (may have been adopted). Mothers name was Gurtrude Baguley.
Kathleen married Fredrik Christiaan Van Der Linde in 1947 and lived at the above address.
Unlces and Aunties of Kathleen are Gertrude Alice Williams, Lucy Baden Williams, Robert Henry Williams, Thomas Williams, William Ernest Williams, Mary Elizabeth Williams and Edith Ann Williams all born between 1898 and 1910. Grandfather was Robert Williams.

His father's name was Joseph and his Mother's name Sarah He had a brother Joseph, and sisters Lily and Martha. Would you have any information about this branch of the Baguley family. My grandfather died and my mother, her brother and my grandmother and her second husband Richard King came to New Zealand In 1923?

My best friend is a descendant of Samuel Baguley, he reported arrived in Australia via Morton Bay. His brothers were Alfred JOhn and Walter. Samuel settled in Moree, NSW.

I believe this is my family history also. I can trace who I believe to be Adam, Catherine and William after their arrival in Australia in 1855. They ended up in Queensland and William married Anne Chadburn in 1869 and they had 14 children. Hi everyone. I have a John Baguley who married Elizabeth Barns on the 5.2.1788 at Cathedral Manchester Lancashire England. They had the following Children Hannah, Richard, John, James, Adam and William. I hope somone out there is related to this family and can help me past my brickwall. I am a descendant of Adam baguley who married Catherine Smith on the 25.1.1836 at Spitalfields christ church, Stepney London England, and they had a son William Adam Baguley and the family moved to Australia on board the Ramillies in 1855. I am the great grandson of George Baguley who was born at East Stoke, Nottingham, England during 1814 & was a domestic coachman in 1881. I am keen to trace his ancestry back further & if possible see how it links in with Hamon Massy, the, presumably, French knight who came to England with William in 1066 & was eventually awarded the title to "Baggiley" in Cheshire.
If anyone can fill in any gaps I would be delighted to hear from them.

All I have on James Baguley is that he was born or baptised on the 1.3.1801in Manchester Lancashire and that his parents were John Baguley and Elizabeth Barns. Good Luck in your search.
