There is a John Coats in TN that is connected to my line in MO as well...both my Sylvester and Obediah Baker come to TN via Rowan County NC 1783/84
At the sites above there is also Sylvester's Rev War Pension records...
Also Sylvester and Obediah were both in Rowan County NC both ended up in Smith County TN and Obediah went to Clark County GA and Sylvester went to Callaway County Mo with his daughter Nancy and her husband Rev William Coats...
