I have both an Obediah (3) and a Sylvester (1) in my BAKER line.
Obediah BAKER: Born abt 1736 in England, died 30-APR-1822 Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. He had a son, Nicholas BAKER: born abt 1766 in Surry County, North Carolina and died 25-MAY-1819 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. Nicholas had a son, Obediah BAKER, born 1797 in Surry County, North Carolina and died 1877 in Fayette County, Alabama. This Obediah had a son, Sylvester BAKER, born 1817 in Fayette County, Alabama. Sylvester's sister, Catherine BAKER, is my GGGrandmother.
There is one more Obediah BAKER in my database. He descends from the above Obediah BAKER born 1736 in England through the brother of the above Nicholas BAKER, John BAKER, born 1776 in Surry County, North Carolina. John's son, Obediah BAKER born 1807 in Clarke County, Georgia.
