Looking for information on Barbie family from former Yugoslavia. Or the Rusch family from the UK.

BARBIE*LIND of German Hungary to Cincinnati, OH USA

My great-grandmother Maria Magdalena (nee Barbie) Lind was born in Vojtek, Hungary-the "German" part (now Romania) as well as her siblings Vendell, Nicklaus (sp.), Steve (sp.) and Mihaly/Michael.

She and Vendell came over to the USA in 1906 + 1907 with her husband John Lind, who was born in Sachg (sp.) also the "German" area, and his brother Ferencz/Frank Lind and settled in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Her family was originally from Alsace-Lorraine, and John Lind was of German-Swedish ancestry.

Roseanne is actually a Barbee. She is the daughter of John Barbee born in Essex County, Virginia and died about 1799 in Orange County, North Carolina. Her mother was Sarah Patterson born 1736 in Orange County, North Carolina and died 19 Sep 1845 in Marion County, Illinois.

You can see your Barbee family line on the William Barbee page on my web site. I have more on Sarah Patterson's ancestry if you email me directly. I would love to hear more about your branch of the family!
