Samuel Sumner is my GGGGrandfather, my records show he married Elizabeth Grimes born 29 Mar 1796 in North Carolina. You have the children down right... and a couple of dates I didn't have myself (thanks) Elizabeth Grimes is the daughter of James Grimes (b 1747)and Sarah Winders (b 1769). Samuel and Elizabeth married 4 Oct 1812 in North Carolina.
Hope that clears somethings up for you :)

Hi! Deanna, You might try looking at the website www.barnum.org for a possible connection to your line of descent. Barnum, Barnam and Barnham are all variations of the same surname and the spellings were not always consistent from one generation to another. Kind regards, Patrick Barnum, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico
