Surnames: Bartlett, Freeman, DeGroat.
I have recently found your William Bartlett living near Henry Bartlett in Dunham Ill. in 1850 census. I was stimulated by their proximity to my great great grandfather Patrick DeGroat, whose daughter married My great grandfather Horace Bartlett. I wondered how they got togther and am thinking maybe Horace and William were related somehow. Maybe counsins? I think their father is a John. according to the census William and Henry's father was born in Conn and they were born in Ohio. It looked like William and Henry migrated to Iowa the same as my greatgrandfather. If you find anything more about these people please let me know. Michael Peterson and I correspond quite a bit. Horaces mother was a Freeman and he is also.
