Looking for the families of the following couples:
1) William Bathgate b. c.1830 in Ancrum d. in Jedburgh & Sarah Hymers b. c1830 in Denholm. They had: Alexander, Robert, William, Henry, Margaret & John.
2) Archibald Bathgate b. c1833 in Ancrum married Elizabeth Goodfellow b. c1836 in Lillieleaf. They had 8 children. It is believed that they may have gone to Halifax, N.S. with his half brothers son Robert Thomson. Also Archibald & family may have gone to the USA. & nephew stayed in Hfx.
3) Agnes Bathgate b. c1835 in Ancrum m. Peter Ramsay on 12 May 1862 in Dunedin, N.Z..
4)John Bathgate b. c1837 m. Ann Grant in N.Z.

There are a couple of other siblings along with a half brother, Robert Thomson. If any of this sounds familiar please let me know. Thank-you for any and all help.

I am seeking siblings of their child John Shapland Bathgate, who was born in 1855 at Bothwell, Lanark - does anyone have a connection with this couple. William was a hairdresser, who with his wife, ended up in Ilford, Essex in 1901. John Shapland Bathgate worked on the Railways.

Simon Bathgate and his family of five came fra eastern Canada to Dundee Township in about 1907 and settled on the NE 1/4 Section 33, Twp 158 Range 55.

There were two girls: Mrs Anna L. Ford and Maggie, who was married to Wilbur Campbell, originally fra Carman, Manitoba. There were three boys: John Bathgate, Grand Forks; Andrew remained on the home farm and William Bathgate of Canada.

I'm looking for any knowledge of these two families that were joined in 1901 - Scotland - with the marriage of Clotilde Henrietta (arnaux) Callender (Widow)and James Archibald Bathgate. All together there are 11 children, Peter George Bathgate (my grandfather) being the youngest born in 1909.
They went from Bathgate Scotland to Canada @ 1910. James Archibald died in 1916 in WW1.

Children's Names: Alexander Arnaux Callender, James Callender, Adrian Callender, Clotilde Callender (daughter), Amy Callender, Margaret Bathgate, M.Jamimah Bathgate, William Bathgate?, John E. Bathgate, James Bathgate and Peter G. Bathgate.

I believe My BATHGATE line starts in the Haddington, E Lothian area with George BATHGATE b 1629 who married Agnes TROTTER in 1651.

The better documented Victorian family are Robert BATHGATE b Haddington 1812 who married Jean HARDIE in Edinburgh in 1840. Their children were
1) Jane/Jean Hardie b 1839 m David YOUNG 1868,
2) Robert b 1842 m 1864 Brodie Gordon Lammie KERR,

I am new to the genealogy world and would love some help if anyone has the time. I am looking for James Bathgate born 1876? in Scotland who moved to Nova Scotia (I believe) in the early 1910's. He was married to Chlotilde Arnoux. I have found a record of his death which states that he is buried in the devillewood?(sp)cemetary in France but after that I have hit a dead end. Any and all help appreciated!

Does anybody else have an Alexander Todd Bathgate (Midlothian, Scotland, 19c) in their tree? Here's the relevant details (as far as they go) and some descendents from my tree:

Alexander Todd Bathgate (son of Archibald Bathgate), was born in Edinburgh probably around 1830-1850.

Alexander married Jessie Janet King, daughter of James Neilson King and Margaret Dewar, on 14 Jan 1868 in St Thomas, Dublin, Ireland. They had six children: James Nelson King, Frederick William Rendle, Annie, Alexander Todd, Robert, and Richard.

James Nelson King Bathgate was born on 5 Jul 1870 in 853, Newbridge, Kildare, County Kildare, Ireland.

Frederick William Rendle Bathgate was born on 29 Sep 1878 in 86 Conns Close, Cowgate, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.

Frederick married Jemima Meenis Smith Milne on 20 Mar 1907 in St Peter's Church (Espic), Gardner Street, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. They had one child: Jemima Meenis.

Jemima Meenis Bathgate was born on 15 Jun 1908 in 15 Burnside Street, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.

Annie Bathgate was born on 29 Dec 1893 in Edinbugh, Midlothian, Scotland.

Alexander Todd Bathgate was born on 10 Mar 1872 in Leith South, Midlothian, Scotland and died in 1937, at age 65.

Alexander married Mary Macmillan Napier in 1894.

Robert Bathgate was born in 1882 in Edinbugh, Midlothian, Scotland.

Richard Bathgate was born in 1894 in Edinbugh, Midlothian, Scotland.

On a website known as "Dead Fred", there is a picture of a gentleman named James C Bathgate who had been a teacher at some sort of institute in Columbus, Ohio, in 1870.
Does this gentleman belong to any of your Bathgate lines?

Walter Bathgate married Sarah Etherington in Wycliffe in 1853 and their children were Alfred Etherington (b 1872 Hilton), Thomas (b 1854), Richard (b 1857 in Staindrop), Frederic (b 1860 Walkerfield), Edward Harrison (b 1862 Walkerfield), John William (b 1866 Hilton) and Margaret Ann (b 1868 in Hilton).
Walter was born on July 26 1827 in Sunderland and died Nov 28 1897 in Wycliff)

Im trying to locate the names of my fathers parents who lived in Conway or altoona PA during the 1920. He was born Nelson L Bathgate in 1923 and had two brothers and sisters...Raymond, Johnnie, Ethel and Ruth.
His Parents died when he was in high school so all the kids went to live with relatives. I was told he may have stayed with an uncle or grandparent name Andrew B Bathgate. Please reply if there is any info you can tell me.
