THIS FAMILY IS LISTED IN 1900 CENSUS BY THE WRONG NAME. THE MICHIGAN BEAU FAMILY ON THE CENSUS FOR MACOMB COUNTY IS ACTUALLY THE "BEYNE" FAMILY...THE RECORDER MADE IT BEAU, BUT IT IS BEYNE....THE BEYNES HAD ABOUT 6 OR SEVEN KIDS AND LIVED IN MT CLEMENS FOR YEARS. FA:>ANTHONY OR ANTOYNE AND MOTHER LOUISA. BOTH IMMIGRANTS.

I would like to know if you would have heard of a certain Lucy Beau, born in Ogdensburg around 1855, who was married to a certain Paul Mathie of Quebec City. Would she be a daughter of Martin Beau and hiw wife Lucy Kiah?.

1754, 6th of Sept. died at Fort Duquesne a man named John Beau, an inhabitant of the Chambly river, Seigniory of Contrecoeur, aged 20 years or thereabouts. His remains were interred in the cemetery of the same Fort. /S/ Fr. Deny Baron, P.R."

Beau of Ogdensburg, NY and Canada

Seeking the parents of Martin Beau, who was born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec in 1827. He immigrated to Ogdensburg, NY in 1843 where he married Lucy Kiah (?) in 1852. They had five daughters and three sons. He died there in 1894. Would like to know about his origins in Quebec and possibly France.

if you haven't already. It can probably pinpoint your Beau family arrival in Quebec. It's a fee site. You get a certain number of 'hits' for X dollars, with no expiration date. I've found it invaluable for my husbands endless French Canadian tribe.

Tanguay is also on line somewhere, but the U of Montreal site is much more user friendly. (If you can't find the Tanguay, I have the CD and will do look-ups.)

Secondly, I have Peter and Marie Therese Rinehart Beau in my line. He was from the Alsace Lorraine region and she from Wurttemberg and they lived near Stuttgart in the late 18th eary 19th centuries. There were several families of Beaux along that area of the French/German border. You might do a little poking around there.
