Searching for Dunbar-Beaumonts of CT & RI

I am searching for Dunbar-Beaumonts from Kent, Rhode Island.

My great grandfather was Arthur Dunbar Beaumont, he was born in 1887, in Bozrah, CT.

As far as I can tell, his mother was Rosanna S. Dunbar, his father, William Beaumont. The marriage took place in RI.

Arthur married Alice Squires, they had 5 children, 3 boys, Lewis aka John, Leroy aka Buster and Loren (Lorren, Loran) aka Logee, and 2 daughters Ethel and Grace.

Alice passed away 1918-1920 from TB. Arthur and the 5 children lived with Alice's parents, Frank and Minnie Squires in Coventry, CT. Later Arthur left the youngest boy and the two girls with the Squires in Coventry, CT while the two oldest boys, John & Buster were placed in a boys home.

If anyone has any information regarding this Dunbar-Beaumont family, I would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Sherri Czmyr

Christopher (Charles) Beaumont

I do know that Christopher Beaumont - my father - arrived alone from England when very young (told this by him) and that he was alone. He shared no more information. The ship I think he arrived on was the Marathon of Aberdeen, arrived Australia 9/12/1911, and there were two stowaways onboard, Walter Baldwin and Christopher Beaumont. This is the only information that I can find of an arrival around this date and at the end of the passenger and crew list it shows his name, but not his age or where he came from (but the ship originated in England) - and that he was a stowaway. His mother is probably Clara 1891-1952 died West Riding, father is probably also Christopher born abt. 1882, his grandfather William 1848-1925 all from Coventry. Would appreciate any information.

Benjamin Beaumont married Rebecca Crowther

I am researching my Beaumont line and have got back to Benjamin, father of Henry. Benjamin married Rebecca Crowther in 1792 and lived in Lockwood near Huddersfield. Rebecca died in 1843 and is interred at Lockwood Emanuelle. They were Methodists and laterly members of the High st New Connexion where their last two children were baptised including Henry who then lived all his life in Paddock. Unfortunately I can't find a burial for Benjamin which will enable me to definitely identify his birth record. There are two possibilities on IGI.
A birth in 1769 with father Joseph and birth in 1770 with father James and mother Mary Hirst which ties into other research back to c 1700.Could anyone look up Benjamin's birth from their records? He should logically be interred in Lockwood with Rebecca or be buried with other non conformists from High St New Connexion in Huddersfield. He died after his last child's birth in 1811 and before 1841 as he does not appear in census records. Many thanks in advance for any help you can give. KB

My father was Jacques Beaumont but I have never met him. I am looking for him and would not mind meeting him. I dont know if he even knows if he has a son (ie. Me!)
My mother when he knew her would have had the name Renee Furstenburg. They would have met in South Africa and in all likelihood Jacques is South African.

I was born in January 1975 so was conceived in 1974. I grew up in Johannesburg (more specifically a small town called Krugersdorp). My grandfather was Josef Furstenburg and it is possible that Jacques knew or met him.

Anyone who can shed light on where he is or how I could get hold of him please contact me. Thanks.

My only aim is to help people who are researching their Beaumont family in exchange for information. At the moment,I have not researched your family line to any great extent. Photo was taken in Milford (Oakland Co.)
Hi Jim
I have not claimed James 1737 as being the son of Adam, but I am aware that it is a good possibility that it is correct
The rest is as I have got it - bar Mary who was not buried in 1816 - I believe the reported burial entry is a transcription error. Mary went on to marry James Shackleton.
I work on an exchange of information bases. You being a Beaumont, I am interested in your family line coming forward with regards to dates and places of any BMD's. I am sure we could help each other here. I work on one condition "that any information that I may provide is not published openly on the internet" My honesty can be easily checked out, but regretably a lot of people I have dealt with in the past were not as honestin forthcoming with information. So now I place the onus on the other party to provide the information in advance before I part with any
If interested contact me direct at lenny.beaumont@ntlworld.com.
Regards Lenny

I believe your Annie died Jan/Mar 1918 not 1916 Bromley age 75. I cant find the marriage to Annie Hobbs. I have found them on the 1901 census where it states he is a retired colonial merchant. Was he living overseas? is it possible he got married overseas. The reason I am asking is that I cant find John on the 71c 81c 91c On the positive side, I am fairly certain I have his family and that his father was John a tailor and that your John was an assitant tailor in his youth. Really I am at a stage now where I need some input from you to confirm things. Could you tell me what was said in the Will and anything else that might be relevant. Could you contact me direct at lenny.beaumont@ntlworld.com (I will be away until Sunday evening)
Regards Lenny
Researching the Beaumonts of Yorkshire, but now expanding into a Beaumont One Name Study

I think John had siblings Ada Kate and Alice as well as perhaps others! I have a copy of Annie's Will after her death in 1916. Any info on this branch would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: Beaumont; London/Surrey -- One Name Study

Hi Mark
Using your information I have found your family. Your father had two brothers and a sister. I have found your grandparents and your great grand parents,so far I am back to the 1860's - I have not looked further, but there is bound to be more information to come.
I am researching primarily the Beaumonts of Yorkshire, but I am expanding the project unofficially into one name study. I offer my services for FREE for exchange of information. If you are prepared to forward me details of places and dates of any Births/ Deaths and Marriages to bring your family forward and up to date I will be quite happy to research the family further for you and let you have the information. Because of false promises in the past, the onus is on you to provide me with the information before I part with any. My integrity can easily be checked out - even on this message board
This is an hobby of mine which I do for no financial gain The only condition I have is that any information that I provide isnt published openly on the internet, because it would undernined my research
If intersted please contact me directly at lenny.beaumont@ntlworld.com
