I a, looking for information about the military career of William Benedict, my ggggggg grandfather. He was born in Danbury, CT in November 1757, and died in Alexander, NY on February 4, 1836.
I know little of his military career other than that he was a patriot in the American Revolution, and may or may not have been in the 5th Connecticut.
