Hi, not sure I posted my replies to Denis & Helen correctly so thought I'd better start a new thread.
William & Jane were my gt gt gt grandparents. Their daughter Mary (spelt Burtey on marriage cert to Daniel McCann in 1847)was my gt gt grandmother & Daniel & Mary's daughter Anne was my gt grandmother who married William Moorcroft. They had a daughter Annie who married William Scully, Annie & William were my grandparents. Daniel is mistranscribed on the 1851 census as Dane Macken, Mary's sister Jane is living with them at the time.
Hope to hear from Denis or Helen as I've tried contact before without success.
