Thomas II couldn't have been Benjamin's father either. He also died before Benjamin was born - I believe it was 1717.
I am going to try to get to Saratoga, NY sometime this summer and see if I can dig up anything there. I understand Benjamin and his family lived there for several years before he went to Canada. If I ever find anything conclusive I will post it on every List I subscribe to because youu and I are not the only ones looking for this info. I am beginning to think old Ben didn' want to be found.
