my grandmother, Flossie passed away in 1981. I never knew Constaine had any siblings, he moved away from Middletown when I was little. No one heard from him for years, then one Christmas, he sent Mom a card with a picture of him & his new bride, they were living in Colorado then..poss later moved to Vegas, then the name change to Nick Lauri..he was a radio announcer I was told. Massimo Bianchi was my grandfather. I'm not sure when he married my grandmother, Flossie Day, but they had a daughter ( my mother in 1930) My grandfather passed away a month before I was born so I never knew him except for pictures I have. Which I have seen a couple of pictures of him online. I know very little about my family on my mothers side.
I found my mother's half brother ( Constaine) who later in life changed his name to Nick Lauri and lived in California. He passed away several years ago, I'd have to ask Mom if she remembers, as one of his children called to tell her. I'll look to see if I can find any pictures of Constaine.

Ok my grandfather Augustus Bianchi came over to the United States when he was 2 years old. I was told they changed his last name to Bankey. Can anyone else give me any other info? I know they lived in Sciliy and that is about it. I do not know his parents name. I do know when my grandmother died, there was some mafia attending the funeral. They instisted on carrying her coffin and everything.

I know this post is about 10 years old, but while doing a search on Ercole, the Bianchi's popped up. Do know if any of your Bianchi family lived in the Los Angeles area? Knew or could be related to Secondo and Ermelinda Ercole? Also is there anyone named Anna Bianchi, who would have been a child in the early 1900's, in your family?

My name is Mary Turner nee Leonardi from Nottinghamshire. My 4th Great grandfather was Michael Leonardi(1804) allthough another record shows 1797 as DOB. Not sure when he came to England but he was a Plasterer and later also married a Susannah Jack (Sporden)dob1809. Sporden could have been possibly a first marriage. Michael also came from Lucca, been trying to find his ancestors for a few years now without success. He had a son Michael who also was a plasterer.

I have Pietro Bianchi in my family records. At one point in his life, he moved to Montpelier, Vermont and owned a big granite shed (in the late 1800s). He was married to Maria Bertoli (Ved. Salvetti Bianchi). "Ved" is an abbreviation for "widow" in Italian. Pietro Bianchi was Maria Bertoli's third and last husband. Bertoli was commonly known as Donna Maria. She was a great-grandmother of my grandfather, Paul Domingo Comi. Pietro Bianchi and Donna Maria eventually moved back to Italy and lived in or near Pogliana, which is a town in Varese, Lombardy.

I hope this information helps you out. Does Pietro Bianchi show up in your family records?

I believe the town you are searching for is "Pogliana." Pogliana is located in Varese, Lombardy, Italy. I have also been searching for family from Pogliana and other towns in the Lombardy region.

My grandfather, Paul Domingo Comi, had a great-grandmother by the name of Maria Bertoli (Ved. Salvetti Bianchi). "Ved." is the abbreviation for "widow" in Italian. Bertoli was from Carrara, Italy and died in Pogliana, Italy. My grandfather told me that Maria Bertoli's third (and last) marriage was to Pietro Bianchi. Bianchi owned a big granite shed in Montpelier, Vermont (this was sometime around the 1800s).

Pietro Bianchi adopted Harry Salvetti, who was from Maria Bertoli's second marriage. Harry became legally known as Harry Salvetti Bianchi after the adoption. Harry's biological sister, Annie Salvetti, was much older, so Pietro Bianchi did not officially adopt her.

Maria Bertoli's first child was named Assunta, but I do not know the last name of the father. In fact, I am not 100% certain that Maria Bertoli was married when she had Assunta. My family records also say that Maria Bertoli gave birth to Natalina after Harry, but she passed away at a young age.

Anyway, I hope I've been able to help you out in some way. Does Pietro Bianchi show up anywhere in your ancestry?

I have come across a marriage record for a Giacinto Bianchi (born about 1872) marrying Ida Comolli in New Hampshire in 1905. Giacinto was the son of Giovanni Bianchi and Maria Orsoli. Maria was born around 1826, Giovanni was deceased at the time, and passed at age 53. Giovanni is my third great grandfather, through another son.

The marriage record indicates that the Bianchis were from "Poliana" Italy. I have searched the internet quite a bit for this town, and have found nothing at all about it. Does anyone know where this town is, or any further information about this line of the Bianchis?

He was from Dallas, Texas. He was shot down over Germany on Nov. 25, 1944 and was held as a POW in the Stulag Luft IV concentration camp. He survived the infamous 80 plus day forced march known as the Black March.
I received pictures of the crew from Joe Bianchi. His dad and my uncle, Robert W Owens served together.

I've been trying to find out information on my grandfather with the last Bianchi, first name Luigi (Louis) from Villavallelonga, immigrated to Rochester, NY in about 1903. He was born in about 1886 and married a woman named Frances, about the same age. Several photos still remain in our family that were taken in Ontario, Canada around 1948. My mother and father are both visiting then (before I was born). My mother is still alive today and says the pepole in the pictures are "cousins".

I am wondering if you might have any information.

My great grandmother was a Bianchi from Italy. Her name was Lucia, and she lived in Fontana Liri. There are a lot of Bianchis living in Italy, though, and they all have different spellings of their names; also, they are not concentrated to one area.

My Bianchi family originated in Chieti, Abruzzi, Italy. I am not sure how or when they came to the U.S. just yet, but they somehow ended up in Trinidad, Sopris, Colorado in Las Animas County, at a coal mine camp (Sopris was flooded by the Trinidad Lake/Dam in 1970). Armando Bianchi's parents were Constantio Bianchi(o) and Maria (Salvatori),Bianchi(o). Massimo Bianchi (Armando's Paternal uncle) Married Armando's Mother Maria in 1920. Armando was orphaned at the age of 7 (in 1925), (His Uncle/Step-father) Massimo Bianchi(o), became his guardian. I wrote to the St. Joseph's Orphanage and received information that I have pieced together. Armando (7/11/1918-8/30/1989) and his half-brothers Constantine (9/20/1920-?) and Orlando (1/5/1925-?) (Maria and Massimo's children), were admitted into St. Joseph's Orphanage in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 7, 1926. Massimo married Flossie Day in 1928 and then removed Orlando (aged 3) from the Orphanage and lived in Middletown, Ohio. Armando and Constantine eventually returned to Massimo's custody in 1934. I am trying to find out what happened prior to these events and also afterward. I am awaiting news from the Holy Trinity Church in Trinidad, Colorado where the children were baptised.

My grandmother, Lucia Bianchi, was rumored to have been killed for her work in the mafia in the 1920-30's. Her son might have been murdered, as well. She is apparently cousins with Albert Bianchi.

hi my name is chantel bianchi my great grandfather is albert bianchi, other relations are tom bianchi tony bianchi and stefano bianchi. they were know as the white mafia. there is a book but its in italian u should look it up they had a lot of children with women on the side. Girlfriends were very popular back in those days, those women knew them with the last name white for the code white mafia because bianchi is so close to the italian word for white i hope this might help u anymore questions feel free to email me

My great-grandfather was Andrea Emmanuelle Giuseppe AGOSTO, born 1864 in Bari (city) Italy. He married Francesca RECCIA, amd they had 6 children. He died in chicago in the 1930's.

His mother was Maddalena BIANCHI, di Benedetto - a way to say who her father was. If she was 28 in 1864, she must have been born arouns 1836? where? Bari?

She married Giovanni AGOSTO.

They lived on Strada Borgo A. Antonio in 1864 when she had Andrea.

I am so happy I found you post! Those Bianchi children you were speaking of are distant cousins of mine. Their father, Giuseppe, and their mother, Speranza, took care of my grandmother, Mary, and her siblings, Laura, Gus, and Vincent after their parents were killed. There is much confusion in my family about what type of care the kids were in while they lived with their cousins, the Bianchis. Perhaps you could tell me a bit about it? Also,I noticed on your post you called the girl 'Ellis'. It's not Ellis, actually. Her name is Alice, and she is 94 years old. She is the last of those children still alive. Please, any information regarding anything about these people would be greatly appreciated. You see, we do not know anything about my grandmother's family because they all change their names so much, and with the adoptions and whatnot.

Angela and Celso (Cesare) Bianchi - California

Looking for relatives of Celso (Cesare) Bianchi (b. 3/16/1885 d. 4/29/1967) and his wife Angela O. Cocce (b. 10/21/1895 d. 7/5/1982) of Italy, then San Leandro, CA . They had 2 children Ines and Josephine.

Angela's Parents were Gaetano Cocce and Gueseppina Aspesi - She came to the US in 1917.
Cesare's Mother's maiden name is Bina - he came to the US in 1906.

Looking for info on MOSES Bianchi, born 1832 in Longton, staffs. He married a Martha Smallwood in 1950 (have marriage cert for this), and then Elizabeth Udell (who can't find any records of ancestors for - i only assume they didn't marry legally). His father was Philip Bianchi, born 1797 in Switzerland, any info would be greatly appreciated.

The census entry referred to here may not be Bianchi. It was hard to read and I jumped to the Bianchi rather than took time to see what it said.

I am searching for Genealogy information on the John Bianchi Family, John was born in Switzerland, but his family originated in Italy. He left Switzerland for America in 1915. A few years later sent for his wife(Gooannina) and children.
