those could very well be in our family tree. My grandfather was William Thomas Binning and his father was Henry Augustus Binning. Henry's father was William Thomas Binning born in 1812. He came over from England but was originally from Scotland or Wales I'm told. Both William and Thomas are popular names in our family.

Hi George. If you're researching Binning(s) ancestry, I believe Goerge & Ann Binning to be the parents of Charles P. Binnings (the "s" becomes added) who immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana sometime in the 1840's. Charles was a riverboat captain. His son, Clement Plato ran DeLignes Plantation (5,000 acres) and died in a sugarmill when my great grandfather, Earl Sharp Binnings was 12 yrs. old. Earl S. Binnings owned a steamship agency and retired to his weekend home, Sunnyside Plantation in Thibodaux, LA. He died in his bed in 1977 at the age of 83. I was 7.
My full name is Christopher Sharp Binnings and my parents are William Sharp and Cynthia Lemmon Binnings. Cheers!

Yes George Binning & wife Charlotte Hares that I once thought was (Hanes) born 1801 & 1806, If I had your E-mail it would be better, mine is chuck.binning@sympatico.ca
Yes I know of that mis-spelling Beining & of John & William
of 1827 & 1829, I have the binning line up to the present & some in the 1800's, & Charlotte's line back to 1707 & also forward to present. The Binnings I only have to George of 1801. CHUCK

I am related to the Binnings via the Altrees. I have an undated family letter from around 1920s in which the writer Nellie talks about her ancestors - brothers Thomas and William Binning moving from Scotland to England, possibly in the 18th Century. Do you have any such brothers in your tree? If so, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

You are welcome to look at the Binnings in the Rundle Family Tree.

Regards,
Terry Rundle

I have a Mariah J. Binning b. 1855 England to who?

So many George's in Jackson Co, I'm convinced some of the birth info got mixed up in the census on them. One George is linked to the Sussex family, daughter Ida married into it and had son Elmer in same family. Looks like this same George or is another? Had daughtger Eva, and children George, Walter and Carl, if this is ILA her birth is off 6 years in 1910 versus 1900. But surname is same. There is a George in NY in 1860, wife, Emma, child Frank, b. about 1832
and in 1900 the link I know George b. 1843 England, wife Emmeline, children Sarah, Alice and Charles. But not sure of the exact link yet. Mariah Binning married Cyrenus Parks b. Canada and looks like she died by 1900, anyone help? Which family is her's? Need an earlier Binnings!!!

There dates of birth were based on 1881 & 91 Census that I could check, the other Census I dont have access to such as 1841 or 51 or 61. 1861 might tie them all together.
Edward and Elizabeth and their sons did settle in central Wisconsin, but were in Iowa for a short time prior to that. My grandfather, Henry, was born in Iowa (at least that's what I'm told). I don't know when they moved to Wisconsin. They settled in the town of Unity, which is where I grew up. Will check my information at home this evening for more specific dates, if I can find them.

Charles-
Saw your web site. Are you already aware of the George Binning born 1767 in Wedmore, Somerset and died 1848 in Brent Knoll, Somerset? He married Betty Bartlett in1793. All I know of is one child, Sarah, born in 1807. But there may be a son born a few years later.
Or is your George from 1811 the son of Robert and Ann?

Jerry

They are living in Shipman, Somerset.
The records misspell the last name Beining, but in the census itself it is clearly Binning.
I thik this may be your George.
Jerry

Sorry, but don't recognise your forbear. In the UK, the majority of the Binning families can be found in England's West Country and in Scotland - the Clan Binning. However, 'my' line lived in the East Riding of Yorkshire from the early 1700's.
