Bishop Families, Waterford, Ireland

Hi there,

I am trying to find any information on various Bishops (that is the surname not the title!) in Waterford. Most Bishops I have found in Waterford City and surrounding areas seem to have been Confectioners or Bakers. I am trying to see if there is some connection between all of them and also the Bishop family I am researching.

Many thanks!

Seeking info on Rebecca and John b. Bishop Wright County MO

I am seeking information Rebecca (previous married name, Dutton) who married John B. Bishop 20 Sept. 1903.
She was previously married to William B. DUTTON 9 Dec. 1899. He apparently died sometime between those years.
They lived in Wright County, possibly Van Buren Twp.

Rebbeca and William were listed on the 1900 Van Buren Twp. Wright County census as having a adopted daughter, Adeline BRADLEY who was b. July 1885. (We believe this to be our grandmother.)
Rebecca was married at the age of 72-75 to Mr. Bishop.
She had 11 children 5 living from a previous marriage before she married Mr. DUTTON.
Rebecca was born in West VA. Father b. Va. Mother born Penn.
Any information concerning any of the above individuals, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Rose Higgins
jrh@cei.net

I am looking for any Bishops connected to this family line. I have a Louis Bishop who had married a Rosetta or Rose Haney. They had the following kids, Enda Mae, Gladys Matilda, Elijah Roy: who goes by Roy, and Viloa : who died only 11 months old.

In 1920 & 1930 they were living in Douglas twp., Effingham county, Illinois.

I was also told that Louis was married before. I don't know who his first wife was. I am not really sure where this Earnest or Earney Bishop fits in, but is connected some how to Louis first marriage.

Earney Bishop had married Matilda Hudson in 1905 in Effingham, Illinois. They were married by a blind minister, named Rev J. L. Bird.

Earney and Matilda had the following kids, Lorena who married a Mr. Parker, Elizabeth who married a Mr. Oscar Hensley, and David Bishop, whom I think is Thomas David according to findings in the 1920 Census.

They were living in Martin, Crawford county, Illinois in 1920 & 1930.

These are the only Bishops I have so far. I would love to hear from anyone that has a connection to this line. Thanks & Happy Hunting!!

Jacob Frederick BISHOP (b. 1840, Germany)

I am looking for information about the parents of Jacob Frederick BISHOFF (changed to BISHOP during World War I). He was born November 11, 1840 in Germany and moved to the United States sometime before 1864. He served in the Civil War from 8/17/1864 until 5/19/1865 in Company B, 5th regiment.

He was then married to Rosine STURM, born March 23, 1850 in Brachfeld, Germany. They got married on January 17, 1873 in Newark, NJ.

Children from this marriage include:
Frederick O. Bishop, Arthur E. Bishop, George H. Bishop, Charles F BISHOP, William F. Bishop, Walter M. Bishop (my great-grandfather) Rosina, Emma and Bertha.

Jacob died Sept. 29, 1903 in Providence, RI and Rosine died May 1922 also in Providence, RI.

Any information about the parents of Jacob or Rosine would be extremely helpful. I am currently enrolled in a geneaology class and am researching my ancestors.

Kirstin Ferreira
Researching: BISHOP (Bischoff), Christmann, Ferreira, Tavares, Roun, Holden, Furtado, Perreira
Bishop, b. in GA, Jan.31, 1823 and d. in Cobb County, GA on Feb.4, 1905 and cannot proove any ancestor beyond him. I believe that his parents were both born in SC, per the Census of 1900...I'm particularly interested in hearing from anyone that can proove their line further back... As well as anyone in these particular lines:
Augustus W. Bishop
Asa Bishop
Ephraim Lewis Bishop
James Bishop
James B. We would like to see these pictures where they belong. Some of them date back to the 1800s. You can email me at jimandjune@jjmccoy.com. Hope we can find them a home.

I went with my parents to an auction for the estate of Lee R & Myra Jane "Sybil" Bishop. The auction was located at their home in Valliant, McCurtain County, Oklahoma. My father bid on a box that was sold with several other boxes as a "lot". In one of these boxes were family photos (i.e. Oswell, Davis, Warren). My mother has tried to locate a family member in the area that would like to have these, but has found no one. If anyone is interested in these pictures, please contact me and I will to get you more info on this family. The pictures will go to the first person offering to pay the shipping.

Thanks,
LuAnn

Bishop's in Georgia

I’m searching for any Bishop’s in Georgia. Maybe I can find someone who can help me piece together the information I have. I am in the process of researching my Bishop lineage and I don’t have a lot to go on. Anyone who thinks they may be able to help please do! I appreciate any help. The line I have stops on Marshal(l). Most appear to be in the southwest Ga area, but I’m sure are now everywhere:

Marshal(l) b 1824 North Carolina –d 1894 Terrell, GA

William H b1853
John A b1854
Merell K	b1855
Robert B	b1858
Mary b1860
Sarah M	b1863
Thomas F b 1867 Georgia d 1927 Terrell, GA
Lucius b 1890 d 1959
Emmitt b 1892
Annabelle b 1894
William Henry b 1896	d.1963 Laurens, GA
James F b 1897
John Tom b 1900
Pate b 1914
Odesta b 1917
Mosley J	b1872
Payton W	b1876
