Lima and Buenos Aires

dear Jonathan, I received your message from Peru. It is interesting that both families touched upon ports (Lima and Buenos Aires)probably because many of the CAmogli people were related with sea trade or shipbuilding. I believe in the case of my great grandfather Giuseppe the shipbuilding activity and his trip to the Rio de la Plata were related to his mother's family activity. HIs mother family side are the Mortolas and they were engaged at shipbuilding around 1860. I do not know when Giuseppe arrived in America but he married here in Buenos Aires a person from Camogli , Geronima Valle in 1860. Giuseppes parents where Bartolome Bisso and a woman with the last name Mortola. It would be interesting to know if a famous New Orleans family engaged in steamships early this century are also related to yours or mine family. I write in English so that anyone in the English speaking countries can follow the dialogue but I can turn to Spanish if that is more convenient.
Best Regards Ricardo
