My name is Jessica Smith and my line is from miscou Island, New Brunswick. My grandmother was Margaret Edith Biseau (Which I now know was changed from Bezeau) and her father was John (jack) Bezeau, whose father was Jean-Baptiste, whose father was Pierre Bezeau, from Quebec.

Now, I'm able to go as far back as Pierre Bezeau born 1605 in Normandie, France, but the trail ends their. He was married to Francoise Toulouse, which I also saw was spelled Toulon.

If anyone fas any information on the 1605 Pierre Bezeau, father of Pierre Bezeau abt. 1635-1703 and husband of Francoise Toulouse, I would be sooo greatful! Looking for his parents.

smith-scents@hotmail.com

Joe
I do not know where Caraquet is located. What if any information are you looking for on the family tree? There are many variations of the surname. Some of my great grandfathers family acquired the Bisso name around the 1890's. I am not sure how or why? Originaly Bezeau/Vezeau on most papers. May be an error from census and government recorders, but it is on many documents of that time frame. I have researched documents showing the same family information, but with last name spelled phonetically different. I know there are Bisso's which many are of Italian descent. May be related from centuries ago, possibly families traveling back and forth between the two countries. In order for me to see if any connection I would need more info from you about your family, any ancestral info, were family from, uncles, aunts, grandparents (paternal). Joseph is one of many common names used.

My Great-grandfather Luis Vicente Cravino Gorlero came from Genoa, Italy, about 1860, with his parents and brothers (Felicia, Cartina, Rufino and Ana). This last one, his sister, Ana Cravino Gorlero (1846-1896), married JUAN BISSO (D. 1904) in Montevideo. They had 3 sons: Enrique (D. 1942), Vicente (D. 1943)and Dolores (D. 1958).

Saludos

He married Nicoletta Simonetti and had four children: Benedict (1907), Catherine (1904), Lawrence (1905) and Mamie (1903).
Hi I'm not sure if you can help me at all, I wrote a post a while ago, but no one answered it. My great grandfather was Frederick L. Bisso from Italy. I'm not sure where exactly though. He had 2 sons, Frederick Jr. and Luis. They lived in New York City for a long time and then in New Brunswick, New Jersey. If any of this sound familiar please write to me. My Grandfather didn't leave us much information before he died and I've been searching for family for many years now. I would appreciate anything you might know. thank you.

First of all they excuse by the delay.
Wel the family of my father is from Huacho a little city in the north of the capital (Lima). My father always spoke to me aboute his uncle-grandafther Juan Bisso Serga, he come to Peru with his family. My father said to me that one of this aunts-grandmother married with a named man Rocca, and when they traveled to Peru my father aunt-grandmother, she came with all her family, specially her brothers and sisters. The greats-grandfather of my father came from Italy from Recco, in the family there is a priest who is called Angel Bisso Andrade, he has made a synopsis of the arrival of the Bisso to the Peru and his permanence in Huacho.
Whe the firsts Bisso's came to Recco, they was in Huacho a very prominent family, they have many companies, but know the Bisso's that still live in Huacho are a few and many of them don't know the history of the family. I only know a few things about it because my father told me, he know a lot of things of the family but sometimes he prefer to have that memories for he.
If you want some special information, let me know, maybe I can told my father about that.
Bye

I am also looking for Bisso family. My grandfather came from Recco to California in the USA and his name was Carlo Bisso born in 1881. He had a brother Juan Bisso who went to South America, we think. Do you recognize any of those names? I cannot find when my grandfather came to the US. Some Bisso members came from Recco to the US, Puerto Rico and South America, so we may all be related. Ethel Molini

Hi Anne;

I guess there is a possibility that the spelling could be wrong,,but It seems to me my family said it was Bezeau. Grandma (Susan McGuire) was born in Sandwich Ontario. Grampa was Adolf Bezeau, but when they came to the states the crossing gurads didn't understand him will and wrote Bisso. They had three children, Lyle, Earl, and Gladys. AS far as I know,,,they are all gone. I am the only survivor of Lyle Bisso. Please let me know if any of this wrings familiar to anything you have researched.

Susan
