Our family descends from Ralph Blouet of Hampshire whose father may have been Walter Blewett 'the Viking'-the name Bloet is of Viking origin. This line descends to Elizabeth Bluet who marr. James de Berkeley, Baron of Berkeley in the 14thC.
Connecting lines include: FitzHarding, Picard, Rhys & Worgan.

Daisy Bluett McElvarr was my grandmother as well. her parents were Joseph T Bluett and Elizabeth Watts. her siblings were William B Bluett(PHL), Howard Bluett(PHL), Laura Bluett Edision(NY), & Ella Bluett Conley Worrest(OH/NE).
Since we are both daisy's grandchildren and I know all my cousins fairly well...who are you????? lol

Hello,

The John Bluett(b:1768)that you mentioned is my G-G-G-Grandfather. He and Anne Warne had a son John Bluett(b:1803) and he married Honoura Rodda. Their son was Joseph Thomas Bluett(b:1847) and he married Elizabeth Joyce Abernathy. Their youngest daughter was Daisy Bluett, my grandmother. She married Louis McElvarr. They had 5 children and my dad was the youngest.
Joseph & Elizabeth lived in New York, Cenral PA early on and later moved to Phila Area and died here.I personally dodnt know any of them but do know some family stories.
As far as I can tell it was Joseph's brother that left PA and moved west. They settled in Iowa, Nebraska, Veveda,& Calif.

Not sure you will get this due to the original date of your post. My name is Steve McElvarr and am the grandson of Daisy Bluett. She was the youngest daughter of Joseph Thomas Bluett(b:1847)and Elizabeth Joyce Abernathy. Joseph's parents were John Bluett(b:1803)and Honour R.(b:1804).
Daisy lived New York, Central PA, and Phila area. She died in 1972 and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetry in Phila.
I only remeber he brother William(Uncle Willie). He never married and died here in Phila. I am still researching the other siblings.

Hi I'm looking for information on Frances Barker Bluett who was born in Marylebone, UK in 1839, she married John Skelton. They had three children.

I particulary want information on the parents and siblings of both Frances and John.

I would suggest that you contact Michael K. Blewett (mkblewett@bellsouth.net) as he is somewhat of a Blewett authority. He has been helpful to me in the past.

I am also looking for information on a Mary Elizabeth Blewett in Wise County, Decatur, Texas. My Mary Elizabeth was born in 1835 in Georgia to James D. and Rachel Whaley. She married a MR. ANDREWS and had 3 sons (James Rollen, George Allen and John Harris); it is believed that MR. ANDREWS died in the Civil War. She married 2nd to James Love Blewett in 1869; he died in 1879. She had 5 more children with James Blewett. Mary Elizabeth Whaley Andrews Blewett was buried in Flat Rock Cemetery near Decatur, Wise County, Texas 1913. She is buried next to her daughter Sallie Williams.

Hello and Help! I am trying to locate my maternal Gr Gr. Grandmother. Her name was Mary Elizabeth Bluett born Oct. 3, 1857 and her children, especially Susie Etta (Susan Elizabeth???) Peden born Dec. 18, 1879 Decatur Texas. Susie Etta's married name was Rippstein.

Mary Elizabeth married Mr. ? Peden and in her 70's married a Mr. Duncan.

We also have a Frances Blewitt who married a Peden. If you know of any connections, please e-mail me so I can piece this together! Thanks. Paula
