I am looking for information on Ricardo Bojorquez who would have been born either right before or after 1900 in the Nogales area. He was married to Ascension and had 5 children - Frances Jacqueline, Lillian Teresa, Manuael, Russell Gloria and Marta.

I'm looking for information on a Juana Bojorquez. According to her marriage license she was born in 1870 in Guadalupe, Santa Clara, California. Her mother's name is Francesca. She was married to Andres Danieri in Riverside County, Ca. in 1886.

I don't know...this is an issue I have been chsing for years. I have found several lines that came over from Spain, however, I have not been able to find who or when they came from Spain. Form the rocords I have, I feel that most of the Spanish have inter-married with Native Americans in that area. I will look again and see if I can come up with something.

I am astounded to hear of a De Anza expedition!! Will you share that connection with me?? I know that the Bojorques and Romero located in the San Jose area. I found a plaque downtown honoring them. I too am a descendant of Bojorquez/Romero via their daughter Maria Antonia and Jose Tiburcio Vasquez. This line is new to me as I just discoved the De Anza expedition connection this year. Just wondering if you know when the family line first came to Mexico?

Frank M. Bojorquez and Aurora Chavez were Fred Bojorquez's parents. Aurora died when Fred was born and Frank took Fred to Hillsborro, New Mexico to be raised by Sixta and Benito Chavez. Sixta was Aurora's mother or sister. Haven't been able to find out which. Sixta at that time had a baby named Adela who she was nursing so she nursed Fred also. Adela and Fred were raised like brother and sister instead of cousins or aunt and nephew. I sent Rip a picture of Frank and a couple of pictures of Fred through an email the other day. I don't know if he opened it or not cause he may not recognize the name. Uncle Fred and Aunt Annie visited my grandparents several times as I was growing up.

Adela Chavez Tafoya was my grandmother and all our family called Fred and Annie Uncle and Aunt.

Hola, yo naci en Guaymas, Sonora y mi abuelo y padre en Empalme Sonora.Mi bisabuelo es de la region norte de Sinaloa donde hay muchas familias bojorquez en El Fuerte Sinaloa, Guasave y Guamuchil. Otras familias hay en un pueblo de Sonora llamado Moctezuma y en el pueblo que mencionan San Miguel de Horcasitas de donde era un personaje importante de la revolucion mexicana Juan de Dios Bojorquez.Mi abuelo era calvo con nariz "aguileña" de tez blanca al igual que mi padre aunque él no era calvo.
Ahora resido en Tijuana, Baja California y les envio un saludo.

hello, my name is mireya bojorquez, i donn't know much about my dad, only that he lives in culiacan sinaloa, my mom told a little about him and his family, all i know is that he is white, green eyes, light blonde hair, and to add we also look some kind of chinese, we have small eyes, we sure don't get it from my mom, but my mom told also about my fathers great grandparents being chinese. i was told about this chinese people that arrived in sinaloa to work in that train rails many years ago, and somehow borrow this last name or something, anyways i'm more lost, i don't know anybody from mu dad's side of family.

Hola, Hace mucho tiempo tengo interes en conocer el origen de nuestro apellido BOHORQUEZ. Vivo en Cochabamba BOLIVIa.
Como explicas, nuestro apellido en mi familia tuvo modificaciones(bojorquez, bojorges), despues de una investigacion, llegue a contar con un documento manuscrito de mis tios abuelos de los años 1940 mas o menos con apellido BOHORQUEZ, desde la fecha que encontre documentos autenticos con apellido Bohorquez, soy BOHORQUEZ.
Me gustaria saber si nuestro apellido es de origen Sedarfí. Cualquier comentario escribanme

His wife's name was Annie Mae Rivera. His dad's name was Frank Bojorquez and I don't know his mothers name except that her maiden name might have been Chavez.

Hi. I my name is Charlene Baiz (maiden name:Bojorquez).
My father is Charles Bojorquez.
My grandfather is Fred (aka Rip) Bojorquez.
Fred (aka Rip)'s parents I believe were Fred Bojorquez and Annie Rivera(from Hillsboro, New Mexico).

I think Fred Sr's father's name was Frank Bojorquez, but I'm not %100 sure.

I have information from a textbook, that a James Prince invested in using a particular kind of waterwheel, for a mill in Palo Blanco. This was in the 1850's. Do know of any truth or evidence to that? I do not know what kind of mill--I am assuming that it was a cotton mill. James (Santiago)Prince was my great-great-grandfather.

Julian Bojorquez married to Dolorez Fontes (maybe, not sure of last name. They are on the 1860 census In Marysville Ca. Linda township, but the name is mispelled. Two dtrs. Pastora and Flavia and maybe a son also named Julian. Julian the father died in about 1876. Dolores then married Sam Castro and lived in Sacramento. Delores died in San Francisco in 1899. Annie Mae (Rivera) Bojorquez passed away August 26, 2007, she was born December 8, 1915, in the small town of Hillsboro, New Mexico. She caught the eye of the dashing Fred Bojorquez, son of Frank Bojorquez, the first Governor of New Mexico. She was 18 and he was 34. They married and had 3 children, Ann (deceased), Fred, aka Rip and Dennis (deceased). They moved to San Diego at the start of W.W. II where she immediately went to work at North Island. She attained a G-12 grade in Payroll and retired after 38 years. She and her husband celebrated 48 years of marriage and traveled all over the world. After her husband's death in 1982, she continued to see the world, traveling to the Caribbean, China, Germany, Hawaii, Japan and South America. She remained active in her many club functions including Sacred Heart and St. Therese Churches, dancing and playing bingo. Annie and Fred were lifetime members of the VFW. She is survived by her son, Rip (Carol McLean); four grandchildren, Mike (Melinda), Sabrina Hahnlein, Chuck (Marie) and Steven (Leslie); nine great-grandchildren, Erik, Charlene (Joel) Baiz, Michael Jr., Kimberly Hahnlein, Kevin Hahnlein, Meredith, Brittany, Aaron and Kathryn Hahnlein and three great-great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Thursday August 30th at 4 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Goodbody Mortuary. Services and burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Therese Parish. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Annie's name may be made to the Nice Guys Organization, P.O.
