Hello: I'm sorry but I don't have a Frank Walter Bolton, that I know of, in my ancestoral line. You did not mention when & where your grandfather was born. I am related to Robert Bolton (1706-1787) through his son Matthew (1763-1824) who moved to northeast Georga about 1790, and extend to central Geogia in the middle 1800s and to central Texas in the late 1800s. I know some details about another line of Boltons related to Robert through Matthew's brother Thomas C. Bolton (1746-1824) who settled in east Tennessee about 11800. Robert fathered about 5 boys and four girls so there are a lot of Bolton lines that I don't anything about but if you wish to continue this conversation my email is: wbbolton@comcast.net.

I saw your posting of Dock Hailey Bolton which was my Grandfather. There was no information about his 1st family.
My father was his first born child in 1905 and there was 3 more children. You said your father lived in Big Ready. I was born on the old family farm called "The Holler" in 1940. I would like to know what part of the family you are from. I have all the names of Dock's siblings. I still have cousins there.

What started my search for Lula (Nichels) Bolton my grandmother She died in 1921. She was raising the children as my dad said because Dock was always gone. And that is what the other family member said also.

I do believe this needs to be doucment with with looked in to.

Marge Craig

Hi, I have no connection but I am very familiar with the Izzarelli surname and done a lot of research on it. You need to post some information on your great-grandfather ie: name, approximate birth year, the name of your great grandmother, where they lived in America and the name of their children in order for any one to be able to help you find the information you need. It would be hard to tell you anything with out more info. The Izzarelli surname is not very common so there's only a few areas of Italy where it will be found.

Let me know and I will try to help you.

Hi no I didn't know that information. I asked at my post office and I would have to rent a box for 3 months to be able to have something just sent there. In my first message to you I sent our email address was it deleted when you got it? I'll talk to my son-in-law about what to do. What was your grandfather's first name because I have Jim being married to Vera and they were the parents of Colin in Portland so some of my information might be mixed up. Talk to you soon.

Hi Barbara: This is great, I know when I went to visit Portland after Nan died, Colin and his wife were remote but the loss of their son was very hard for them and obviously life must have stopped for them. I'm not sure how we can get in touch with one another beyond ancestry.com, I am a little unsure of the safety of putting information on the site but I would prefer to send the information I have directly to you through the mail rather than having to enter it all here. I do have some photos and happy to make you copies. We will have to put our thinking caps on to find a way to directly connect. But it is just great to know your there and interested in the family tree. Beatrice raised me and was my Nan, mum and best friend all rolled into one. To me she was a living saint so kind, gentle, never a bad word about anyone, very loving and she talked so happily of her family and growing up in Portland, she was only 17 when she came to Canada by herself. I bought a wonderful book about the history of Portland when I was there one time,if you don't have it, I could send you information about it. I do have a photo of what would be our greatgrandmother Sarah Davis Salkeld, she remarried after thomas died and had a son with her 2nd husband, son was Arthur Bolt. I'll talk to my post office maybe I could give you a general post office address to send me your information and then I could contact you directly. I will look into it. I would love to compare the information we have as Reta in Kent sent me the names of the 14 Salkeld children and bits of info about them. I felt quite an affinity with Portland when I visited. I know Nan loved her siblings very much and kept in touch and they seemed to have been happy lot. I did have the delight to meet Lydia sister to Jim and Nan, she and her husband last name Snowden lived in Plymouth, they had an only child a son who killed himself. She had a lot of photos but when they died I didn't find out until many months later and everything was gone to an auction and I don't know what happened to the photos, such a loss I would have loved to have them. They were such a cute couple still in love after over 60 years of marriage, good natured that is what I would have called them and Nan was the same. So looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi Barbara: This is fabulous, my nan (Beatrice) raised me and she told me a story about your granddad that always made me laugh. Your granddad use to take containers of milk up to the naval base and they would yell out "who goes there" and he would say "little Jimmy Salkeld". We must be second cousins, I think, I am in touch with only one other relative Reta Smith in Kent her mother was Isabella 'Bella'.
Are you Colin's girl, I visited him one time, early in the
70's after my Nan died.I have information that goes back to Thomas Salkeld born 1813 (I hope it is the right Thomas Salkeld) he would be our greatgreat grandfather and the Davis family which was your grandfathers mother's family. My Nan loved your Nan Vera and would stay with her when she vvisited England. I can send you the information I have and copies of photos if you send me your address, I would love to hear about any information you have and any family photos you might have. I am very happy to have found your message. Veda
I have info on the Bolton family of NC. Rachel, daughter of Owen Slaughter and Mary Elizabeth Bolton, married Benjamin Bolton, her uncle (possibly half-brother or full-brother of Mary). Rachel lived 1770-1843. Her daughter Rachel, born 1798 married Ezell Slaughter, her first cousin, the son of Nancy, daughter of Owen and Mary E. If you have more info on Mary E. Bolton's parents, who I believe to be William Bolton and Eliza (possibly Covington), or any other Bolton family info, I would like to hear from you.

My father in law passed away in 1983 before we married and I do not have alot of info about him. I do know he was in the service but his records were destroyed in a fire. We are not sure if he had any other children besides my husband. He was a life long texas resident. Do you have any other information that we could compare to find out if they are related?

All I have ever had for a birthdate is 1759 and I know that was extrapolated. I'd be glad to exchange info with you. Do you have much on Nancy Mann? You can e-mail me at robertajestes@att.net and we can exchange files if you'd like.

Roberta

Thanks Roberta. That's what I thought too, and then found some information online, but have not been able to validate it yet. I haven't found a Godwin Cemetery in Botetourt County at all, but where I am there a skads of little cemeteries that have lingered in loneliness for decades, so I thought that might be the case for Henry's resting place as well. What I really want to do is validate his birthdate.

Cyndi
