Hi, I'm looking for a maiden name for Corinne. She married a Sonny Bow (I don't know if this is the exact spelling of his name). Most likely in Michigan USA. She was born in 1941 MI USA and died 1995 Muskegon Co. MI USA.
She went on to marry Gilbert Ream and Henry Gibbs.

descend from Thankful Bow's 2nd marriage to Dr Ebenezer Cooper who was the father of Abigail Cooper by his 1st wife.
Evidently Abigail and Jabez Roberts grew up in the same household after this 2nd marriage and later married.

I am not 100% sure who Richard Bow’s (1824- )parents may have been. Looking at ancestry today I found a candidate in a John Bow (1824- ) who married a Maria in 1844, Plymouth, Devon. They so in the 1851 census and are a good match. Richard shows up the 1891, 1881 & 1871 census. Since Richard was born abt. 1848 the names of John and Maria are the right time period. John and Maria Bow show up in the 1851 census with 4 children: John 5, Richard 3, Susanna 2 and Elizabeth Ann 3 months, in Devon, Tamerton Foliott, dist 7a
In 1861 census for Devonport, Devon, England (St Budeaux), John W Bow 38 & Maria 35 with Anne Marie 7, William H. 4, Anne Hariah 2, James 5 months. He is listed as a gardener. He is listed as born in Devonport and Maria listed as born in Manachorum.
In the 1871 census we have John 47, Maria 43 in Plymouth with Elizabeth A. 20, Henry 14, Amy K. 12, James 10, Samuel 8, Henryetta 6, George 1.
Not sure where he is in 1881. There is a Mary 62, with George 11, Samuel 18 in Devon, Tamerton Foliott, dist. 20. She is listed as the head and a widow.

This is interesting. Did you ever find anything more on William's family? My great-grandfather (Arthur John) was one of 14 children in a family from Dorset and Surrey. The first four children have half-siblings and were brought up by John Bow's second wife Sarah (Hyde); one of the half-brothers is William. This info is from the UK census (can't remember if it is 1871 or 1881). Does this fit with your search query?

Did you find all you wanted to know about Lily Lawrence Bow and family? Your inquiry is quite old now and I see Richard Lawrence Bow (the oldest of the great grandchildren) responded through his wife Barbara in 2004. I'm not sure who bjwebb is... Lily, aka Elizabeth Jane Lawrence Bow is also my great grandmother. Her last grandchild Mary MacLaren Bow has just died on Oct 19, 2009. My tree in Ancestry.com is Bow Family Tree and it is currently public.

I'm looking for the ancestry of John Bow died 1833 in Albemarle, wife Caroline Matilda -----. His will mentions he has a brother, Nathaniel Bow who has moved to Kentucky (doesn't say what county). I would think he is a poorer relation to the prominent Nathaniel Bow of Richmond Va.

I am trying to find the connection between several Bow families that came from Pittsfield, Berkshire county, Massachusetts, who I believe came from Middletown Connecticut. I know that a Jacob Bow (m Zerviah Brainerd) went from Middletown to Pittsfield, Mass, probably after going with his brother Daniel to Pittsfield, Vermont, where Daniel remained. They were sons of Peleg Bow and Mary Woodward.
I have taken what I could find and assembled the most logical family connections. The people in northeast Ohio (where I live) have been pieced together with obituaries and cemetery records, and biographical sketches in books from the late 1800's.
I used a question mark or "Probably" where I positioned
people because it looked plausible.
The main disconnects are unknown parents of the three Abraham Bow's, of Oliver Bow, William Bow, and Charles Bow.
I noted that Charles is used frequently in all the families.

I don't know if I'm related, but I research Bow and Bowe.
I have a photocopy of the biography (from Who's Who I think).
He was b June 2 1891 Detroit, son of Sandy and Anna Cushing Bow.
children Warren James Bow, and Nancy Ann Bow.
Died May 12, 1945, buried Evergreen Cemetery, Detroit.

I'm a direct descendent of Lafayette Taylor Bow/Isabella Marcus Taylor. I have a photo of both of them, given to me by their granddaughter who is quite elderly but still living in Oklahoma. I'm happy to share it if you email me.
I'm also looking for photos of some of their children. I have several photos of Paul Stanley Bow (my ggrandfather), Mary Louisa Bow, and Bernice Bines Bow. I'm looking for photos of Olie Otis Bow Jones, Marvin Hewitt Bow, Horace Story Bow, Leo Taylor Bow.

If anyone has photos they are willing to share, I'll would be very appreciative. I'll be happy to share photographs I have. Mostly, I'm quite curious because I'm struck by how much one of my uncles (in his 50s) resembles Jonathan Gaines Bow at the same age and would like to try to piece together a more comprehensive family record.

They are my gg grandparents. Nancy was dtr of John A Cole 1795-1880. and Louisa Thompson 1810-1876. She had 7 siblings. She was born in 1829 in Va. and died I think in 1922. I have discovered that peter and susan bow where my grandmothers parents, she was the youngest child born in 1905 her name was mary bow.
Peter Bow was a blacksmith living in kilsyth, stirlingshire, he was married to susan and they had 9 children (i think ) I do have some other info and dates.

You do not mention any dates. I am the granddaughter of Helen Whyte Bow, daughter of James Bow and Annie Jackson. Helen had a brother John born about 1882,brother William b about 1880 or 1881, sister Jane b about 1874,sister Mary b about 1876and James b about 1884 In ship's lists there quite a number of Bows whose birthdates match some of these.
