BOXOLD of Canada and USA

I am working on a BOXALL (and variant) One Name Study World Wide and BOXOLD falls under this study.

I would really like to connect the BOXOLD families mentioned on this list to the families in England. In order to do this I will need more data on the early BOXOLD members of the families. When they arrived in Canada or USA or approx. date of birth. Name patterns often help. The maiden names of their spouses should also assist.

In my database I have several Charles BOXOLDs but need more data in order to connect any of them to your families.

Charles Stephen Boxold - b 28 Apr 1862 in Missouri? I cannot find any death records, Canada or US.
Married Elizabeth Bertha Prince 29 Aug 1894 in New Brunswick.
They had 2 children -
Gertrude Bertha b 30 Jan 1895, New Brunswick, Canada
Roy Dewey b 4 Nov 1900, New Brunswick, Canada

Roy married Jessie MacFarland on 07 Jul 1927. They had 7 children, all of which were born in the US

There were two Boxold families in the US. One originated in Maryland headed by George Nicholas Boxold b 1840 probably Baltimore, Maryland(father George b England)who went to Napa, CA abt 1873 with his family (7 children, 2 sons had sons, 2 sons died young). His eldest son Charles S went to New Brunswick, Canada where he probably died bef 1929 (not mentioned in his mother's obituary).
The other one was also headed by a George Boxold b in England about 1831-1840 He lived in Brooklyn, NY and had 2 sons only one of which had sons (Frederick H had sons Frederick and Robert W, both of whom died in NY State).

If I am corect Gertrude Boxold of Woonsocket RI (died 1972) was my father's foster mother. Her family m, Bertha Dunlap Boxold (Todd) f. Charles b. Roy (Ray) are listed in 1911 Census of Canada. They lived in Kings and Albert District, Kingston Parish, NB Laternative spellings Baxold, Boxcold

Gertrude,her mother crossed the US Border at Niagra Falls, in 1931 my fater (foster son Wendell R Sewell Boxld in 1931 to visite her brother Roy in Rhode Island. My fater was rasied by Gertrude in Woonsocket RI. He did not find out he was never legally adopted unti his naturalization whie in US Army during WWII.

I beleive Roys wife is a named Bessie,

HI! BINGO! Maryland, yes Charles!My Grandfather, Temple Mallor was born in Maryland. I am named after him. I am female, bn.1954. There is a Charles somewhere in my search. (Does anyone in this family have an original name?) When I get home from work, I will look at my papers and recontact you! Have a great day!

My faterh was rasied as a Boxold in Rhode Island and he spoke of Charles as a "cousin", I have some infor, if you are still interrested.
