Brace Rachel E. Mulvin
Brace, 82, formerly of Phillipsville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning March 4, 2009 at the St. Mary's
Asbury Ridge following a brief illness.
She was born in Amity Township,
Erie County, on July 1, 1926 a daughter of the late Charles and Eva Kent
Mulvin.
Rachel was a 1944 graduate of Wattsburg High School.
Rachel was affiliated with the Wattsburg and Phillipsville United Methodist
Churches.
She was a life member and Past Matron of
America Chapter #19, O.E.S. in Union City.
She and her late husband Marion had enjoyed traveling the world over while he was employed as an engineer with the GE. Survivors include two sons, Jerry
Brace of Edinboro,
and Alan
Brace and his wife Barbara of Livonia, Mich.;
a daughter, Wendy
Brace of
Cleveland, Ohio;
seven grandchildren and a great grandchild also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Marion D. Brace in 1993; a daughter, Sally
Burke in 1995; a grandson, Aaron Brace; a brother, Arthur Mulvin;
two sisters, Margaret
Munsee and in infancy, Edith
Mulvin.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road,
Erie, corner of East
Gore Road and
Pine Ave., Friday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Wattsburg United Methodist Church, 9904 Jamestown Road, Wattsburg, officiated by the pastor, Rev. Russell
Hixson. Burial will be in Wattsburg Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the organization or church of your own choice.
