      <description>Hi,&lt;br&gt; I know they are brothers. I have done some research on the family and the census will show that.&lt;br&gt; John L. F. Bronson and Louise Salyers 4 children, Charles, Carrie as you mentioned, William Morgan and your Wade Hampton Bronson. All children born in Ky., William was a year older than Wade.&lt;br&gt; John died of course before 1900 and Louisa in 1937.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt; Beth&lt;br&gt; </description>

      <description>The name, William Morgan Bronson, is not familiar to me. My father, Wade Hampton's son, and his siblings were raised in Williamson, WV and Wade and his wife, Edith, died there. I haven't done a lot of research, but I am not aware of any branch of the family ending up in Tennessee.</description>

      <description>Hello &lt;br&gt; Thank you.&lt;br&gt;The posting I had put up you saw was from 7 years ago, I did know they also called her Carrie and that she married Gov. Henry Hatfield before he was governor and they had a daughter named Hazel, I have a copy of Hazel's marriage notice and other info for several memebrs of the family.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The work I am doing on this family is for a friend of mine who does not do genealogy her mother knew Carrie as well she was her aunt.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Did your family know William Morgan Bronson?       <description>John Bronson was my great grandfather. My grandfather was his son, Wade Hampton Bronson, of Williamson, WV. My father was Wade and Edith Embleton Bronson's youngest son, Robert E. Bronson (had a twin brother, John, and older brother, Wade H., and two sisters, Margaret and Betty). My father, Robert E. Bronson, was born and raised in Williamson, WV and married Theda G. Kelley of Hazard, KY. My father was born in 1917 and died in 1972. My great aunt, South Carolina Bronson, was known as Carrie and was married to a Hatfield, who was a doctor and governor of WV for one term. I recall meeting her when I was a child.</description>

Stevens and Polly Howard) in Green County, Wisconsin, 4 July 1862. Nine living children, Albert C., Ellen A., Frank A., Elizabeth M., Earl Lewis, Cora Adelma, Clara Belle, Charles Nelson, Blanch E. Family lived in Wisconsin until about 1870; in Nebraska in 1880; in Fremont County, Colorado in 1900; 1910 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Esther died 26 Apr 1925 in Albuquerque. Any information of a connection to Esther's Bronson family would be greatly appreciated.</description>

      <description>CANFIELD, Ohio - Frances Mary Arnold, 90, of McCarty Drive, passed away peacefully at Hospice House, Friday, July 1, 2011, with her family by her side.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Frances was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Montrose, Michigan, (Genesee County) a daughter of the late John Paul and Irene Johnson Bronson, and came to Canfield, Ohio in 1966.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Frances was a force of nature. She was strong, independent and outspoken. She was protective of her younger siblings, especially Jack, in her younger years. She was equally protective of her husband, children and grandchildren in her adult life, and God help those who crossed her! &lt;br&gt;Frances raised her children to be self-sufficient and productive, and took pride in all of their accomplishments. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mrs. Arnold leaves her sons, David (Simone) Arnold of Canfield, Ohio, Michael (Mihaela) Arnold of Boardman, Ohio and Randie (Patricia) Arnold of Nashville, Tenn.; her daughter, Sandra Arnold of Austintown, OH; a daughter-in-law, Sally Arnold of Montrose; her grandsons, Robert Arnold of Montrose, Christopher (Andrea) Arnold of Austintown and Mark Arnold  of Columbus, Ohio; her granddaughters, Katheryn Arnold (Sean Carter) and Sophie Arnold of Columbus, Kelly, Erin and Mary Shannon Arnold of Nashville, and Melanie Arnold of Austintown, Ohio; and her great-grandsons, Sebastian, Quintin and Aiden.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Her first husband, Donald Andres, died serving his country during World War II. &lt;br&gt;Her husband, Edwin E. Arnold, Jr., whom she married in 1946 in Montrose, died in 1987. &lt;br&gt;Two sons, Richard Arnold and Robert Andres; a daughter, Sue Ann; a great-grandson, Nathaniel; two brothers, Jack and Gerald Bronson; and a sister, Betty Jane Sobey, also preceded her in death.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N.       <description>John Bronson, son of Roger Bronson and Mary Underwood, born Lamarsh, Essex, England in 1602, married Frances Hills in November 1626 in Halstead, Essex. There is a wonderful website created by Cambridge University that has transcribed and indexed six centuries of the parish, manorial, priory and court records of the small town in Essex where these Bronsons emigrated from – Earls Colne in Essex. &lt;a href="http://linux02.lib.cam.ac.uk/earlscolne/intro/index.htm" target="_blank"&gt;http://linux02.lib.cam.ac.uk/earlscolne/intro/index.htm&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;There you can find the baptismal (and burial) records of the children of John Bronson and Frances Hills who were born in England:&lt;br&gt;Mary  Oct 1627, John  Feb 1629 – Jan 1631, John  Dec 1631 – Mar 1632, Dorcas Dec 1633.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The family emigrated to North America in 1634/35 with John’s brother Richard and sister Mary. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I haven’t tried to trace the Sarah Ventriss/John Bronson information, but I don’t know of another Dorcus Bronson that would have been of the right age for that marriage.&lt;br&gt;</description>

Medical Center with his family at his side. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Clayton was born in Lindley on September 19, 1921, to LaVern and Mazie (Edger) Bronson. He married Miriam Rouse on July 5, 1947 and was preceded in death by her in 1997. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Clayton entered the service in 1942 and was sent to Fort Chaffee, Arkansas for basic training assigned to the 14th AD Co B 19th Armored Infantry BN. From there, he was sent to Fort Campbell, KY and left October of 1944 to go overseas. His division docked at Marseille, France and they went on to Lyon, France. January 3, 1945 found them in the Battle of Hatten (Germany). He was wounded there on January 19, 1945. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Surgery was done in a field tent hospital and he was sent to England to recuperate. PFC Bronson was discharged January 8, 1946 from Fort Dix, NJ. Clayton received a Purple Heart, American Service Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Clayton worked for Corning Glass Works for nearly 43 years. He enjoyed keeping his lawn manicured, spending time at his cottage, playing golf, helping with church activities and spending time with his family and friends. Clayton was a huge New York Yankee and Buffalo Bill fan. He was also a member of the VFW in Corning. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Clayton is survived by his three children, Donna Gee of Painted Post, Douglas (Pamela) Bronson of Corning, and Clayton (Laurie) Bronson of Freeville, NY. He is also survived by two brothers, George Bronson of Tioga, PA and Daniel Bronson of Painted Post; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Along with his wife, Miriam, Clayton was predeceased by his daughter, Phyllis Bronson; by two brothers, Linwood and William Bronson; and by a sister, Doris Warner. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Calling hours will be Friday, March 4th from 3 until 6pm at Phillips Funeral Home &amp;amp; Cremation Service, 17 W.       <description>Dear List,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have rescued 3 old photographs of the Bronson &amp;amp; Hemenway family.  They are all taken at different places, but they are all the same size, and have the same handwritting on back side.  All of them are 2  1/4" by 3 1/2".They are all clear, and have no damage.  They are listed below:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1.  (unclear:  How J. Cooken in 1864)  Below that (in same handwritting as on the other 2 photos) it says Orin Bronson.  Photo taken by Hall's Gallery of Photography, Nashville, Tenn. (printed on back).  Handwritten below tht is is written:  1864.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2.  Samuel Hemenway, photo taken by Campbell Photographer, Burlington, Iowa.  This is a full length photo of a man, and I would judge it to be in the same time-frame as the first photo.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3.  Diana Delia Bronson hemenway.   This is a portrait only photo. He married Meige Catherine Berkstresser in 1903 in Dadeville, and they had the following children:  George Alexander Bronson (possibly III); Charles Edward Bronson, Sr.; Catherine Bronson; William Howard Bronson; and Rebecca Bronson.  George's father was born in Canada and his mother in New York state.       <description>I ran across something odd. My great great and maybe another great grandfather is a mystery. He had a son named Clinton Benjamin Bronson with a woman named Hannah Mart in Ohio in 1867. But I know he was in the military and his nickname was RED. She didn't take his surname and he disappeared from the picture. I don't know his real name. Clinton Doneral Bronson has many details that fit the picture, including sons named Clinton and Benjamin. It would also make sense as to his disappearance and that Hannah never took his name. Any help anyone?</description>

You can help me too because I have no access to your fmaily after 1930.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Thomas Bronston/Bronson of Franklin Co (1790 and 1800) and Mercer Co PA (1810-1830) had 6 sons: Jacob and Thomas Springer who moved to KY and begat my line (a line that passed as white from 1812-2008), Joseph, James (your line), John and Henry.  He also had 4 daughters. Sarah, Mary, Jane, and Elizabeth w/o John Robbins who moved to Iowa.  I have tracked the descendents of all but Sarah, Mary and Jane into more modern times and am in contact with about 10 other descendents of Thomas in KY, MO, IA, CA, KS, OK, GA, etc&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I did my research in order to find your cousin Gerry Brunson of Mars, PA, s/o you Grand-uncle.  Gerry and my brother Wm "Mike" Bronston of KY did DNA testing and returned a 67 point match proving we are related. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Gerry has provided me with some photos including one of James. He also found Thomas's will for me (and several others).       <description>I am the grandaughter of Frank Vernon Bronson. He had 4 sons Charles, Dallas, Clarence(all deceased) and Roy still living in Mercer County. We are just beginning the family hunt. Franks brother and sister, Hattie lived in Mercer all their lives. They went by Brunson. My dad had a cousin (Earl Brunson) who lived in Erie PA.  Frank married Margaret Holsapfel. I understand Thomas had many children, so maybe an Elizabeth?</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I found at Ancestry.com the following information&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Rose Ella Dill b. 12-28-1898 Cox Creek, Clayton Co., Iowa,  d. 7-12-1961 Rockford, Winnebago Co., Ill.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;parents &lt;br&gt;Elmer Dill 1869-1959&lt;br&gt;Mary Carpenter 1875-1936 ( pictures of graves are online)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Rose married Mr. Hill 1919 Clayton Co., Iowa&lt;br&gt;--------&lt;br&gt;I can not find anything for Ray Bronson. Do you know if he had a middle name? I have found a Francis Ray Bronson, Harold Ray Bronson and Ersnt Ray Bronson. I don't remember details for each of them but they were about the right age but without more info it is hard to find him. You could check marriage records in Clayton Co. Iowa.</description>

      <description>Thank you for asking for this information and your help. Sorry I was not able to answer you sooner, life sometimes irrupts and takes over. The family story is that Ray Bronson was married in Indiana and had twin girls. He then went to Iowa, leaving behind his family in Indiana, and married Rose Dill and they had Miloy William Bronson and May Bronson twins in 1918. Rose Dill was born in 1898. Ray Bronson was arrested and imprisoned for bigamy soon after. I don't have any information of where this happened.&lt;br&gt;Miloy was adopted by Rose's 2nd husband Oscar Delbert Hill when they married and Miloy had the last name of Hill. At age 9 Miloy got into a disagreement with his step-father who then said he was not his son and his father was Ray Bronson. Miloy then changed his name to Miloy William Bronson. Miloy went into the Navy from 1936 to 1940 then re-enlisted after the US entered WWII @ 1941-2 and was discharged about 1945-6. Our aunt remembers that Miloy went to see his father Ray after he got out of the Navy but does not know after witch tour of duty this was. Miloy found out that his father Ray died 11 years earlier. My husband thinks it was after Miloy was discharged in 1945. When Miloy went to Indiana, he found out Ray died 11 years earlier, which could be 1935 or if Miloy went to see him after his 1st tour of duty, Ray's death may have been in 1939-40.</description>

      <description>LANCASTER, Ohio: Betty Bronson (Cook) Whitmore, 79, passed away January 25, 2010 at The Ohio State University Hospitals, Columbus, Ohio.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She was born February 1, 1930 in Williamson, West Virginia.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Betty retired as Administrative Assistant to the President and CEO for the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation after 25 years. She also worked for the Lancaster Board of Realtors for four years.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Betty was a 1947 graduate of Williamson High School, Williamson, West Virginia and graduated from Concorde College in Athens, West Virginia receiving an Associate of Arts Degree in Secretarial Science.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church having served on and participating with many committees, classes, and projects and faithfully having served as a member of the Senior Adult Choir for many years. She was previously very active with the Southeast Ohio Sight Center committing to the lives of many of those whose vision was impaired.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann B. (Whitmore) and Shawn A. Palmer of Lancaster, Ohio; son, Thomas E. Whitmore; daughter-in-law, Jeanne (Crook) Whitmore of American Fork, Utah; five grandchildren, Joseph E. Palmer, Columbus, Ohio, Leah K. Palmer, Lancaster, Ohio, Bronson P. Whitmore, James I. Whitmore, and Ethan C. Whitmore, American Folk, Utah; brother-in-law, Lovell M. Parsons of Westerville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Mary Jo (Whitmore) Stratton of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Whitmore; her parents, Charles Bronson and Irma McCoy Cook; sister, Yvonne (Cook) Parsons; brother-in-law, C. Foster Stratton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Loraine (Whitmore) and Gordon Minds.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;A celebration of her life will take place on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sam Halverson officiating. Internment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Frank E.       <title>DNA testing completed for Bronson/Brunson of Mercer County, PA</title>

      <description>Thomas Bronson/Bronston was a well to do Pennsylvania pioneer who lived in Franklin Co PA in 1790-1800 and in Mercer Co PA from 1805 til his death in 1831.  The children mentioned in his will were: &lt;br&gt;Sons Jacob &amp;amp; Thomas (Springer) Bronston who moved to KY abt 1812 and passed as white and spelled the name Bronston (MY LINE); &lt;br&gt;Sons Joseph, James, John and Henry who all inherited part of Thomas's land and throughout their lives were wealthy Mercer Co farmers - their descendents are known as both Bronson and Brunson. &lt;br&gt;Daughter Elizabeth married John Robbins, moved to IA and passed as white; &lt;br&gt;I found no further record of daughters Jane, Mary and Sarah.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I have tracked the descendents of Thomas Bronson to the 21st century and  a DNA match has proven what I state here - Thomas Bronston was haplogroup E1a. In this century his decendents are all white.  In 1800 Thomas himself was enumerated as white but in all other census records from 1790 through 1830 Thomas was a "free other person" or colored. &lt;br&gt;Feel free to contact me for more information.</description>
