I am seeking any information about Miller H. and Merritt A. Brown who served with the 4th Pennsylvania Cavlary/64th Volunteers, Company A (Civil War).

I am interested in any biographical information about anyone who served with Company A.

Thanks,
Joe

Merritt A Brown and Miller Horton Brown were half brothers. Their mother, Aurilla Abbott first married John Craigh, and Merritt was born on 10/14/1837 prob. in Luzerne Co., PA. She then married James Brown, and Miller Horton Brown was born on 12/22/1842 in Luzerne Co. James Brown must have adopted Merritt, since he used the name Brown throughout his life.

Hi Terry,

Thank you for the reply to my posting and for the information about Merritt and Miller. I appreciate both.

I have a little information abut the Browns that I gleaned from public records. I certainly will share that with you. Perhaps we could add to the biographies of the men.

You may contact me at my e-mail address or use this message board.

Thanks,

Joe
