I am the great granddaughter of Edward Francis Burnell and Josephine Billings. My grandfather was Clarence John Burnell. I know my relatives lived in Chittenden County, VT and I suspect that Edward's father may have been Casanire Brunell, born in Canada but in Beekmantown, Clinton Co., NY in 1900. Any chance this is my family or does any one have information on the Brunells/Burnells? You may contact me directly at maryburnell@bellsouth.net. Thanks for any assistance! Mary Jo

I don't know if you're talking about him, or who you're even referencing too, but if you're talking about the family I think you're talking about. you're talking about my father.

Hello
I am looking for any data on George W. Brunell, former 28th ward Councilman in Philadelphia. Son of Octave 'Pop' and Mary Brunell. Octave was a silver plater born in Canada.

George W. Brunell used to be the owner of the Hotel Abbey torn down in 1917. He disappered from all census and directories after 1917.

Would love to know where he went if possible.

So far he was married to Margaret Slee in 1907.

Any help on this person would help greatly. I would love to know where he moved and when he died.

Suspect he may have moved to Scotia Canada, but no proof yet.

Thank you
Chris J.

My gggrandfather is Leandre (Leon) Brunell (I am not positive about the spelling of the last name). He was born about 1847 in Lyon Mountain, Clinton Co., NY. He married Emmeline D'Aoust on 14 Nov 1870 in Redford. Clinton Co., NY. My great grandmother is their daughter Josephine, who was born in Lyon Mountain about 1879.

I believe Leandre's father is Joseph Brunell and that he was married to Josette Oligny. They were from Canada. Is there anyone who has the family in their line and can give me some information about where in Canada this family came from? Thank you so much for any help.

Jolynn Noel Winland
littleangeljw@yahoo.com

Brunells from NY State/Mass

My great grandmother was Josephine Brunell, born about Mar. 12, 1882. Her death certificate lists her as being born in a place called Lime Mountain, NY. Her parents were Leon Brunell and Emeline Douast Brunell. She married Edgar Noel of North Adams, Mass; they later relocated to Brockton, Mass, where she died in 1920, possibly giving birth to or shortly after the birth of her fifth child. I am hitting brick walls on this one. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thanks!! Jolynn Noel Winland
