Am searching for information on Sarah Buckland who was born around 1700 in Cumnor and died in 1731 in Cumnor, Berkshire, England. She married Henry Drewett and had two children. Henry and Thomas. Any info on her parents would be appreciated.

It appears you would be directly related to my husband, Edgar Ballengee. Several of our family members have done a great deal of research and we are currently in WV doing further research. We have several pictures. One of them we are unable to identify. You may have already heard from our relatives. One who has done a lot of research is Ralph Harris and another is Jerry Allen Ballengee.

Hi,

I'm the J2-L24 DNA descendant of Seldon you referenced. I've done several DNA tests that give the links between this Buckland line and the Drew, Hawkins, Brown, Buckner, Brown twigs. There's also a blood connection to another Buckland line in Australia tracing back to the UK. I've been gleaning the books and census data for years, to no avail. Lots of mysteries and dead ends. Lots of speculations, no confirmations. I've tried tracing each of the Browns, Drews, Hawkins, Buckners and alternate Buckland generations to find some common bloodline thread. Are there any descendants of Selden/Seldon Buckland currently doing research on this Buckland line or interested in a genetic match to your related family ancestors? If so, the link below should interest you, as it did me. My Browns are related to the Seldon Buckland line through my gr., gr., gr., gr. grandfather Garfield Brown.

The link below shows a genetic link via a recent common male ancestor between a William Drew, William Hawkins, Seldon Buckland, my Garfield Brown & anouther Brown family. My gr., gr., gr., grandfather Robert Fisher/Brown Sr. was probably the son of Garfield Brown & was half Cherokee.

Henry Buckland in NY - Pendill Family Bible

I am in search of the PENDILL family bible. I recently learned it existed when coming across a letter written by Henry P Buckland from the Albion NY area which provided some of the names and dates listed.
Henry married Mary PENDILL in 1850. Her father James PENDILL died while visiting them in 1883. Henry and Mary divorced after 1900.
If anyone has information regarding this bible or family line, I would be most interested. Thank you.

Interesting. Sadie Hunt was my Great-Aunt as her brother George was my Granddad. Knew Aunt Sadie and Uncle Howard very well. My dad, Harmon was her Nephew.

You are welcome. I have two obituaries for him but neither list the Joseph or James, just J. W. Buckland. The Buckland Book list him as Joseph Warren Buckland, so someone may have the proof, I have had a terrible time getting anyone to share about these Bucklands. Most people have the wrong dates. I have an original 5”x6” photograph of “Otto Buckland, Walter Barnes, Will Bowen and J. H. Robinson”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. On the back of the photo is given detailed information on each of the men, including wives names, where they lived, occupations, etc. Based on census records, photo was likely taken in Miami Co., KS, and each of the men looks to be about in his 50s-60s.

I found Walter Barnes in the 1910 census for Osawatomie (Miami Co.) KS, with birthyear about 1868 in KS; his wife was Cora E., born abt 1873. In the same 1910 census for Miami Co., KS, David W. Bowen is shown with wife Mary C. Bowen, both born abt 1862. Photo of Otto Buckland shows his wife’s name was Nellie, they were of Moberly, MO and he was a jeweler.

Anyone with this lady in their genealogy, I came in possesion of the first and only picutre I have ever been able to find of her.Betty Jane, as she was known by, was my great great grandmother. A family member lightly tossed me this picture while looking at old family photographs and said that everyone always said how much my Grandma Gill looked just like her mother. You can imagine how astonished I was to see this picture after the years I have searched for anything on this lady. Hope this is as much a WOW moment for you also.

I have an George F. Buckland, married to my Great-Aunt Alice. Her place of residence in 1943 was in Middlesex. I believed she lived there since marrying into her husbands family.

Warren was born Sept. 7, 1785 and died Aug. 17, 1858. We believe his father was Elijah Buckland and his mother Luch Clark.

I would like to be in the loop with you since my grgrgrandmother, Clarissa, was the sister of your ancestor. Do either of you have any data on Joel's parents. There were several Bucklands in Brandon, VT and they are buried in two different cemeteries. It seems to me they were all related.
John Anderson Buckland married Martha Douglas in Brandon, VT.
They are at Albion Cemetery in New York.
