The only record I have for her is a marriage record to H. Bridgman in Arkansas in 1947. She was 17, so that would have made her born in or about 1929. This person is my grandmother. She was supposedly born in Oklahoma, where she ran away from home as a late teen. She lists both her parents places of birth as Oklahoma. If you have any information on her and her family, I would be most grateful. I cannot find her in any other records. Thank you so much.

Rachel

BULLARD of Sharon, Norfolk, MA - I'm Stuck

I have been inspired again after watching the last "Who Do You Think You Are" regarding actor Rob Lowe's Revolutionary War patriot ancestor. My ancestors were born too early and too late to have served in a military fashion during the War of the Revolution. My 3x-great-grandfather, Silas Bullard, was born at Sharon in 1774. My 4x-great-grandfather, Ebenezer Bullard was born in Norfolk County in about 1723.

The show involving Rob Lowe's ancestor indicated that military service is not necessarily the only form of proof of patriotic service during the war. His ancestor was listed on a tax register and those taxes went toward the war effort (I'm not clear about how they proved that part). While I realize that there were a lot of loyalists, I would like to find out one way or the other if/how Ebenezer might have contributed to the war effort, but I just don't know where to look.

Ebenezer Bullard descended from one of four Bullard brothers that emigrated from England in the early 17th century (1630s). Since the family was in America for about 65 years before Ebenezer was born, I would like to believe that he was not a loyalist. I just don't know where to look to prove it (or disprove it, as the case may be).

If I can prove that Ebenezer was a patriot (in some way) during the War of the Revolution, I could qualify for membership in DAR and even the more exclusive membership in NSDFPA. While those memberships would be nice, the most important thing to me is proving that Ebenezer in some way contributed to the efforts of gaining America's independence.

Anyone have any specific ideas about where I should look next? Where are old tax records and maybe old city council records for the town of Sharon held these days? Are they on microfilm somewhere? Any other ideas will be appreciated, as well.

*Note: I have searched the DAR site and do not find Ebenezer or any of his descendants there, but most of their online stuff seems to document military service specifically, unless I'm missing something.

MacKENZIE/McKENZIE, SEAMAN, BULLARD - Spokane/Anchorage/Trail, B.C.

Seeking information about a family that had ties to Spokane, WA, Anchorage, AK and Trail, B.C.

Claude Hillel MacKenzie/McKenzie and Ruth Bullard had a son, born in Spokane, WA, named Verne Fred Bullard McKenzie (born 1913 in Spokane, WA). Claude and Ruth divorced and Ruth married Ralph Edwin Seaman. Ruth and Ralph had two children, Mary Marjorie Seaman (born 1917 in Spokane Co., WA) and Edwin Ralph Seaman (born 1922 in Stevens Co., WA).

Claude MacKenzie/McKenzie died in Minnesota in 1936. Ruth (Bullard) McKenzie-Seaman died in Anchorage, AK in 1965. Ralph Seaman died in Spokane, WA in 1965.

Verne Fred Bullard McKenzie married someone named Sylvia Homer (I think). They had two children: Verne McKenzie and Robert McKenzie, both born in Trail, B.C. Verne was nicknamed "Snooky" by family members when he was a child.

I do not know what became of Sylvia, Verne (Jr) and Robert. They may have continued to live in Trail or the surrounding area. Verne (Sr) remarried to someone named Patricia. He died in Anchorage, AK in 1970.

I do not know what became of Mary Marjorie Seaman. She was not mentioned in either of her parents' 1965 obituaries and also was not mentioned in her father's will. She may have died before her parents. She may have married someone named Holman/Hallman/Hillman/Hellman. She had a daughter named MaryLynn/Marilynn/Mary Lynne/Marilyn, who (at least in 1965) lived in California. She may have married someone named Peterson/Petersen.

Specifically:

(1) I am seeking information about the children of Verne Fred Bullard McKenzie and Sylvia Homer (if that was her name), Verne "Snooky" McKenzie and Robert McKenzie, both of Trail, B.C.

(2) I am seeking information about Mary Marjorie Seaman and her husband (Holman/Hallman/Hillman/Hellman) and daughter (Marylynn/Marilynn/Mary Lynne/Marilyn).

The Bennett family that I know of were neighbors of theirs in Indian Lake. There are streets named after both of those families in Indian Lake, NY.
Hello, I'm looking for the parents of Alfred Bullard. His wife was Clara Rousseau. I have come accross an Adolphus Bullard as his father, but I doubt the authenticity of this. Supposedly Alfred was born in Canada, but on numerous records, his story is different. His wife is from Massachusetts and was married once before. I know this because all of his children were accounted for consistently. Alfred N. Arthur W. and Blanche.

Becky If this is the right John Robert Bullard, he would be my uncle. He would have been married to an Ann bullard with 12 children. His parents were Emmitt young Bullard and Besse Teresa Bullard. He had 12 children to my knowledge. He passed at an early age of about 42 or 44? His sisters would have been Betty and Mary and his brothers Emmit jr and William. If this is the right John Robert Bullard, I would so very much appreciate a obituary. I am in the process of gathering my mothers family history. Thank you Teresa Adams

I am looking for info on Hannah Jane Bullard wife of Joseph R Bullard. She was born about 1834 in Michigan but I have no info about her parents or her maiden name. She appears first in the 1850 US Census married to Joseph R Bullard in Kent County, Michigan at the age if 16 yrs of age. Also in the 1860, 1879, and 1880 Census followed by her death in 1881 in Alpine, Kent, Michigan where she is buried. No birth, death, or marriage record for Hannah has been found so far.

Joseph R Bullard

I am looking for information on Joseph Bullard born 1823 in Indiana to Aaron Steven Bullard and Mary Dolph. First child I believe. I have no other info about him in Indiana including a birth certificate. Sometime in the 1840s he moved to Kent County, Michigan as verified by the 1850-1870 US Census and his death certificate in 1874 in Alpine, Kent, Michigan. There was a letter I heard about on this site or ancestry.com boards from his brothers Aaron and Justus and a cousin Sarah sent to Joseph Bullard in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The email address for the two people talking about the letter are no longer valid. I would like a copy of the letter if anyone knows about it or has a copy.

From the Chatsworth Plaindealer
Chatsworth,Livingston,Illinois

NELLIE BULLARD
SEPTEMBER 9, 1876

Died--On Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1876, of Choler Infantum, Nellie, a twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Bullard, aged 9 months and 7 days.
The little child had been very sick for a number of days previous to its death. All was done to relieve its sufferings and restore it to health that competent physicians and kind friends could do, but God in his wisdom, called it from earth to a brighter realm above. Short services were held at the residence of the parents by Rev. Mr. McAfee, on Wednesday morning, from whence the corpse was followed to the depot by numerous friends. The remains were taken to Chicago and placed in Rose Hill Cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of their many friends in this their sad bereavement, as was shown by the feeling manifested during the child's illness and in its death.

NORA BULLARD
SEPTEMBER 30, 1876

Died--On Thursday morning, Sept. 28, at 10:30, Nora, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Bullard.
Services were held at the residence on Friday morning, conducted by Rev. Mr. McAfee, and the remains were taken to Chicago for interment.

I am a descendant from William Jasper Bullard who lived and died in Olney, Richland, Illinois, served in the Union Ill 6th Calvary during the Civil War, and married a Margaret Jane Youngling. If you have any additional information abouth him, his parents and any siblings he may have had I would love to see what you have. I await your reply.

There are two opposing views on the origins of James Bullard, 1750 to 1832, living in Robeson County, NC and married to Sarah Pittman. One view says that James was born in Robeson County, son of John Robert and the other view is that he was born in England in 1750 and immigrated most likely in the 1760s to Robeson County N.C.

I have not found anyone, believing he was born in England, with any validating documentation.

I know of a Joseph R Bullard born 1823 in Indiana whose parents are Aaron and Mary Bullard (Aaron S Bullard b.1799 and Mary Dolph b. 1803?). He is in Alpine, Kent, Michigan in 1850 (from 1850 US Census). At the time he has a wife Hannah Jane Bullard. If Joseph is the oldest son of Aaron S Bullard and Mary Dolph (and I have seen family trees that has an unnamed son born 1923), then Aaron and Justus are also Aaron and Mary's sons. Aaron and Mary Bullard do have sons named Aaron (b. 1826) and Justus (b. 1829). Also, I have marraige, death, and Census information that brothers Aaron and Justus moved to Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan area. But I do not know who cousin Sarah is.

BULLARD - MCEACHIN family of Robeson County North Carolina

I am looking for any information on the Bullard/McEachin family which began in Rowland, Robeson County, North Carolina near Alma, Maxton or Lumberton, North Carolina in the late 1800s.

Wesley Bullard born June 1896, the son of Luther or David and Lula Bullard. He married Donnella/Darnella McEachin in 1920, Robeson County, North Carolina.

Looking for information on his mother Lula maiden name and born place or any siblings.

Haven't found any information on Wesley Bullard side of the family.
So, if anyone has any information on Wesley Bullard's relative, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Annie R McEachin
