Does anyone have info regarding YORKE BURGESS born in DC, wife Louise born in NY, three children Louise, Ruth and Virginia. Last known to be in Chicago in 1920. Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks!

Hello - saw this inquiry tonight - I am a grandson (54 yrs old) of Yorke Burgess - he and his wife Louise had 5 daughters, Alice is my mother (still living).

The family moved from Chicago to Crystal River, FL during the depression.

In Florida during the depression he sold real estate and made furniture.

While he lived in DC & Chicago he wrote several books on electricity, established at least 5 US Patents and ran a home corresponding school for people learning to be electricians.

We are attending the Anderson-Burgess Reunion this weekend in St Augustine, FL.

I have some info regarding his parents and grandparents but not much before that – do you have any info about his ancestry?
