Would love any info. She died before 1950, I don't know when she was born, had my father in Robertsdale, AL, and may have lived in the area. Also lived in Wayne County, MS.

Hello, my grandparents were Robert Lee and Sarah Samantha (Campbell) Burgess from Walker County (Empire, Corner, Sispey, Dora) Their first six children died before they were a year old. The last six lived Isaac, Porter, Doyle (my dad, b 1915, d 1977) Ruby, Myrtle and Audrey. Most are buried at Dillworth Cemetary near Dora, AL. Ruby Owens and Myrtle Marcum is still living. Do you have any info on this family? It would be much appreciated.

My great-great grandfather
was Edward Burgess,
b. approximately in the 1840's.
He married Susan Lingow.
The names of their sons were
William A. , Harry J., Ed, George, and Frank.
They were born approximately
in the 1870's.

Terry Brennan described his great great
grandfather. My husband is a descendant of
Harry (Henry) J. Burgess. We have a picture
of Edward and Susan with their children George,
Horsley, Alice, Mary, Frank and Lillian. We know
nothing of Edward's or Susan's ancestors and
would be interested in learning more. I take it
that Susan's maiden name was Lingow. The 1870
census lists Mary J. Lingow with 2 daughters
living with Edward and Susan Burgess

Do you have Thomas Marion Burgess in your tree? He married Arrena (maiden?) and was the father of Georgia Ann Burgess (1848-1917) she married William Kimsey Owen b. 1835. I'm woundering the maiden name of Arrena and who his ancestors were.

My grandma was Ruby Owens Fogle...but she died in 1984..any relation..she was born in kansas or arkansas

how strange to see my moms exact name on this board. She passed away in 1986 at age 67. we are from alachua, fla. near gainesville. i don't think she is the same but it was a shock.
