The Bush family (including Alexandra) emigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in the early 1880's. Alexandra married Thomas Prince Carver in Winnipeg in 1889. They had 6 children, Thomas Sidney 1890, Frank 1893, Eleanor Marion 1894, Edwin Francis 1897, Harold 1898 and Alice E in 1900.

Bush/Bell Stoney Creek, Hamilton Ontario

On a trip to the cemetery in Stoney Creek/Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, I located the grave of my g'g'grandfather, Robert Bell (1850-1935)and his wife, Eliza Amelia Bush (1853-1927). Jessie Agnes Bell (1877-1920), my g' grandmother, was their daughter. She died in Buffalo, NY and is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery (Lackawana, NY).

Robert and Eliza had three other children -- Maude, Gertrude, and a son, George. Apparently, all were born in Hamilton/Stoney Creek, Ontario area.

If anyone has any information on any of these people, please let me know. So much thank!

I am not related and had looked at the 1860-1880 census with no luck. there is a tree out there that shows Hatties maiden name as Scott. And show the date of marriage Jul 27, 1867 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. I do not see them listed in the Kentucky marriage records. The 1900 census shows the marriage date of 1867 also.

there is a 1860 record of W H Bush (born in KY) living in IA with a Scott family who has a daughter names Hannah(born in KY) that may be worth looking at:

are you related someway to this family ? if so I would like to know how yes this family is strange can't seem to find any census in kentucky I found some info on familysearch like hattie and henry were married in kentucky july 1867 no death records unless they moved back to kentucky ... how much do you do you know about this family.. I know Frank went in to longview hospital around 1937... he died there to in 1943... Joyce

this on is odd because Henry, Hattie, Frank and Mary are listed as born KY and both parents from KY. Hattie had 15 children (WOW!) Elisa, Burtha and Ida are listed as their children born in OH, but there 3 girls show that their parents were both born on OH... hmmmm

keep hitting a brick wall with this family my great grandfather was Frank Bush his daughter Elizabeth was my grandmother. I know Frank was born in Kentucky.in 1877 his parents were Harriet (Hattie) and Henry (Hy) Bush, there is a census from 1900 saying they resided in Cincinnati. I just discovered this conversation while searching for the records of Daniel, George, John and Abraham Bush who were given land grants in Blackford County, Indiana in 1838, 1839 and 1840. We know without doubt we are a part of the Daniel Bush/Busch family who came from Germany to Pennsylvania. FamilyTreeDNA confirms it. However, we're unable to make the direct link from PA to IN. I have two books on the PA Bush families and was wondering if your Bushes were from England or Germany. I would be very interested in getting a copy of your book for my Library.

Family Tree DNA has an extensive listing of the different Bush families and their origins.

I am looking for any info like burial sites for the bush family, My fathers name was Earnest T Bush he had 4 brothers & 1 sister her name was Earnestine, there mother went by Dolly. these records would be from the 30s and 40s. My dad was born in 1932. I was told my aunt died by falling off a cliff in Campton.

I am trying to find information about Jemima Bush, daughter of Wilhelmus Bush, Marbletown New York borh about 1789 and he husband Matthew (also surname Bush) . (My 3-great grandparents.)

Some member trees -- probably using the same source -- give "Susanna" as the name of the daughter born to Wilhelmus in 1789 but do not list a Jemima at all. I am wondering if "Susanna" is really a misreading/mistranscription of the church birth records and that "Susanna" is really "Jemima." -- with the error unfortunately repeated in a number of public trees.

Jemima is listed in father Wilhelmus' will -- but there is no mention of a Susanna.

I also note that some trees list the husbands -- also surname Bush -- of two of Wilhelmus' daughters (Annetje and Jemima) as Wilhelmus' sons.. It is clear in W's will that these men are sons-in-law and not sons.

In a book on the history of Clark county, Ky, it lists Martha as his first wife and widow Ann Alexander as his second wife. I don't know Ann's maiden name. I found this information at the library in Winchester, Ky.

He seems to have lived in Indiana and possibly was born in Kentucky. Sara Elizabeth Childers was born in Kentucky and was known as Eliza. They may have had a child, Araminda but I cannot find proof. Yes, this is the same family. My maiden name was Young. This is how I connect. From Philip P Bush and Mary Bryan, their son James Bush and Elizabeth Barlow, then Drury Bush and Nancy Couch, and Drury's daughter Eliza who married Henderson H. Young. Henderson is my 2nd great-grandfather.

Hi I have on my family tree and ABRAHAM BUSH ( one my 8th. g-grandfathers )

I have the children from his 1st. amrriage already on my tree but I have an incorrect wife I had MARTHA WINGATE which I now see is misinformation.

What I do have is that ABRAHAM's 2nd. wife was an ANN ALEXANDER which would be the family I descend from through their son JOHN BUSH 1670 -1746 married twice MARGARET BRUCE (my ancestor ) then a BRIDGET BRAXTON.

Then their son PHILIP P BUSH & MARY BRYAN.

Is this possibly the same family as yours ?

In 2010, I completed a book on my father's genealogy. My 2nd great grandfather was Henderson Bush. I won't bore you with all the line of my father, but Abraham Bush b. 1622 is my 8th great-grandfather. I know there is a discrepancy in the birth year you are seeking, but this Abraham Bush meets all your criteria.

How do you fit into the Bush line?

Abraham Bush, Peter Elmore, George Spencer and Sara Bannister were all transported to Virginia in 1657 by Thomas Powell.

Adventures of Purse and Person, Vol.3, pg. 148

Abraham Bush and Peter Elmore granted 300 acres of land for transporting 6 people in 1664 which would indicate Peter and Abraham are the same ones who were transported to Virginia together in 1657.

Cavaliers and Pioneers, Vol. 1

By 1663, records show Abraham was well settled in Lancaster County, making several land purchases.

In Abraham's will, recorded on February 14, 1686, Abraham left to his wife, Ann, his plantation and after her death it was to go to his youngest son, Isaac. To his sons George and Abraham, 75 acres joining the land of Job Hill up towards the Dry Bottom. To his son, John he gave 75 acres of land joining the land left to his wife. If Isaac should die without leaving issue, the land given to his wife shall fall to his daughter Charity. After the decease of daughter Charity, the land shall fall to daughter Elizabeth, and after the decease of Elizabeth the land shall fall unto the next heir. To his son Thomas, he gave one neck of land commonly called Peumen Neck. He also ordered that his son George was to stay and work for his mother for two years. He ordered that his son Abraham work for his mother for three years. He gave to his daughter Marcy one cow and all her female increase forever and one bay mare called Bonney. He also ordered that daughter Marcy should stay with her mother for three years except if she married within the three years.

Will Abstracts of Lancaster County, Virginia 1675-1689

Abraham was married twice, first to a woman named Martha Merryman with whom he had five children; Thomas, George, Abraham, Marcy, and Daniel (who died before June 20, 1668). Martha died about 1669. He then married Ann Lnu Alexander (b. 1628) and they also had five children: John, Jacob, Charity, Elizabeth and Isaac.

Ann Lnu (this spelling is correct) was previously married to a man named Alexander and had children by him before marrying Abraham.

In Ann's will dated August 7, 1689, she names her son William Alexander as her executor. She states that her children Mary Alexander, Patience Alexander, Charity Bush, Elizabeth Bush, Isaac Bush and Jacob Bush shall dwell and abide with William until they come of age. She also names a Katherine Taylor, who is assumed to be an orphan, to dwell and abide with William until she becomes of the age of sixteen.

Hello.

I'm descended from the Greenwich, Fairfield, CT Bush family. They were a prosperous family in Greenwich, during the time of the Revolution and owned the Gristmill. Their home is now the Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich. The family's ethnicity is actually Danish/German to Leiden Holland in the mid-1600s. Hendrick Bos came to New Amsterdam in 1660 with a second wife and his little son from his first marriage.

Eventually, one of the grandsons, Justus Bosch/Bush, ended up in Rye, Westchester, NY and then into Greenwich, CT. I find TWO John Bushes in my database:

The first is my 7G uncle. John Bush was named in the will of my 7G-grandfather, Justus Bush, along with John's brothers Justus, Henry, Albertus, Bernardus, Isaac,and Abraham…and sisters Anne, Charity and Elizabeth.

The other one is the son of Justus, Jr. But this John Bush is listed as having been born in 1727; died young.

Your Fenner Bush is the son of John Bush and Lydia Baker. The Bush's moved to Sandusky, Ohio around 1830. What I would like to know is who are John Bush's parents. Lydia Baker is the dau of Lebbeus and Mary Polly (Chapel) Baker of which you can find much info. The Bush side I am finding confusing. Any help appreciated.

He was my great-great grandfather. My great grandfather was Frederick Dubois Bush, and my grandfather was Eldred Drummond Bush. My father was Franklin Bush. I am Edward Albert Bush.

Tid Bush of VA

Does anyone know anything about a Tid Bush who was born around 1850-1860 and lived in Virginia. He lived in maybe Scott or Wise County VA. He had an illegitamate child with Mary Ann Hileman. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi. I'm trying to find a Polly Bush who was married to James (Jim) gilley in Wolfe County. They had at least one child, a son, named Hiram Wesley Gilley born around 1884. Somehow Polly was connected to the Ratliff's - maybe having married into the family. Do you have any info on this Polly Bush who was probably born around 1840-55.

William Bush in the car trade

Searching for anyone who knows of a William Bush in the car trade in the 1950's, working in the St pancras area of London, with an invalid wife, born about 1914. Had at least one son. Probably lived south London. Desperate for help with this.

I meant to write a little more on the bottom of that research, but sent it before I was done. I seen some more Louis Bush in other records in the same area but with a different spouse and tried breifly to see if I could find either a obit of Margaret. Will try to research more at a later time.

Bush is my maiden name. My great grand father was Richard Bush. Madison Co IL is about the area that I thought that his family came from. He moved to MO but married Eliza Ann Watson from Perry Co IL and they lived in MO and had children and all mostly lived in SE MO and NE AR. I would love to be able to connect with other Bush families.
