Charles BUXTON - AL > LA

Surnames: Buxton, Dash
I believe my Charles Buxton came to AL from LA. He married (I believe) the widow of Harman Dash who had land grants for Quachita. I found many Dash's in LDS Ancestral files from Catahoula. Also many Buxton land records in LA ca. early to mid 1800's with duplicating given names. I was also told once that we had Indian ancestors. This is probably through Catherine who married Charles Buxton, who was widow of Harman Dash. From what I just retreived from LDS Ancestral files, Catherine would have been Dash's 6th wife. Charles named his two sons Martin Collier b.1837 and Daniel Washington b. 1838. Of course, it could have been Charles' mother who was Indian. Can you add any light? I have been looking for info on Charles for a decade.
