This is my gggrandmother who was born in County Cavan Ireland. She came to Waterbury, Conn where she married James Byers and had two children, Harriet and Thomas George. She then returned to Ballymachugh, County Cavan, Ireland where I believe she died sometime after 1911. The last time I can find her is in the 1911 Irish Census. I have a photo album with many different names but the photo have long sense falling out. The names are Masterson, Strong, Coyle, Kegan, Clasby, Dorrity. Trying to connect these names (and faces) to my family tree. Anyone with info, please email jenniferfainer@snet.net

Hi, my maiden name was Byers. My father was from Spokane, WA. His father was from Iowa.My grandfather, William F Byers, married Teresa Witte, one of the daughter's of William F Witte, from Germany originally. They were living in Chicago when they met. Most of our line has died out now, I'm 65 and had one daughter only, my brother is 3 years younger than I and has no children. My father only had one sister. So, it really HAS ended for us now. I would be interested in learning about any other Byers that might be related to us. I only know that my grandfather's father came to Iowa from Wales. I don't know anything about the rest of his family at all, and my father didn't know much either. (My father died in 2001. His name was William E Byers. His sister's name was Beverly, she married William Donner. Yes, we have an over-abundance of Williams in our family. It was strange that my grandmother's father was William Fredrick, and she married a William F (not certain what the F stood for) as well. That's really all the information I have on the Byers family.

I am looking for any information on Charlotte Byers from Oolitic, Lawrence County, Indiana. She was my great grandmother and I know nothing about her family at all. I am trying to find out who her parents and grand parents were. She used to tell a story of either her grand parents or her great grand parents coming over from Ireland. I do also think she has a brother who lives in California somewhere. She lived all of her life in Beford, Indiana.

She was born I think in 1911
She died in Bedford , Indiana on November 26th, 2003.
She was married to a Frederick " Fritz" Stout and he was the father of her 2 children. But he left when the children were young and she never remarried. Her children were 1 son named Billy Joe Stout and another son named Ronnie D. Stout ( My grand father) Both of her sons died long before her. My grandfather Ronnie D. Stout died in 1989. And Her son Billy Joe Stout died long before that in a car accident, I am unsure of the date.

If you know anything , I would appreciate it.

Casey

Adam, Lucy, and Jennie Susan Byers. These were cousins to my grandmother.

I am particularly interested in Wiley & Hester's offspring, Everett Leslie Byers (1909-) and Wilma Lois (1911-). If they would indicate their descendant line, I would send them studio photos I have recently received of Chs. W., Wiley, Everett, and Wilma.
Hi, It is great to finally meet someone with information about Chester. I have information on most of his siblings. Chester's parents were John W. Byers and Mary E. Huff Byers. They lived in Etowah co. Alabama. I know the first 4 children were born in Alabama. But at that time they were going by the name of Glaze (their step father's name) After he died John took back his birth name of Byers. His 2 brothers did not, hence that's why we are Glaze's. I have lots more to share, contact me at cdonut8@aol.com I would love to talk to ya.

Carolyn

Chester A. Byers, b. 1885 in Johnston County, Alabama

Chester A. Byers was my husband's grandfather. We know he was the eldest of 5 children, and that his family moved to Pumphrey, Texas (near Abilene). We have lots of information about his adult life, if anyone's interested. He lost his arm in a cotton gin when he was a young man, taught school for a couple of years, and worked for his father farming and threshing. He bought a cotton gin in Shep, Texas, and married Viola Avo Kirby around age 23 (1912).

But we don't, however, know the names of his parents. Does anyone know anything about a Byers family in Johnston County, Alabama around 1885 - 1900?

All this information was told to my husband, James Peter Byers, by his mother.
