I have just started looking for information to expand a family tree. My maiden name was Donna Jean Cairns, I am Ralph Cairns daughter. David Cairns was my brother (he died in 1989).
About our Grandmother Georgia. She was married to William O Cairns who died in 1947 when my father was 15. The William David Cairns that died in 1972 is actually William O. Cairns' son from his first marriage. He was actually a year older then grandma. I am not sure what grandma middle name was but Avis was not grandma's name but the wife of William David.

Georgia Barnes Cairns (Harrah - second marriage) 1896-1965
Cairns, William David 1895-1972
Avis D. DeVinny Cairns 1899-1986
