My husband's ancestry is through Emma C. Caladine, b. 6/17/1858 Philadelphia, PA; d. 11/11/1938 West Branch, Ogemaw Co., MI; buried Brookside Cem., West Branch Ogemaw Co., MI; md. 1879 Levi Carr (b. 6/18/1856 Ontario, CN; d. 3/21/1910 West Branch, Ogemaw Co., MI, son of James & Mary Ann (Bloomer) Carr).

Emma's death rec. gave me her place of birth and listed her parents as Joseph Cardine, b. England & Elizabeth Gray, b. Scotland. Emma's dau., Gertrude (Carr) Neiman was the informant listed on the death certificate.

Emma's obit in the Ogemaw Co. Herald lists her as a pioneer of Ogemaw Co.; and states that she was b. in Philadelphia, PA but spent much of her girlhood in Lewiston, Niagara Co., NY. The obit. says that she married Levi Carr in 1879 moving to a farm north of West Branch.
