Would you happen to have any further info on the Cashmore's and Rewis'? Cynthia would be my ggg-grandmother. I've been trying to find records on the Cashmore's in Warwickshire as well. There are so many Cashmores with the same name.

Thanks,
Elizabeth

I am a descendant of Amos Cashmore and Elizabeth Scattergood. I believe their children were Herbert, Jane Elizabeth, Drucilla, Clara, Arthur Amos, Ellen Robina, Mary, Albert and Walter Fred. One of the girls went by "Nancy", but I don't know which one. Ellen Robina Cashmore married John Walter Penfold and moved to Canada, and I am from her line.
Would love more information on the family, if you wouldn't mind. I have some pictures of Amos and Elizabeth and family.
Kimberly

Hi
I have an Ann Tidmarsh but not sure who he married she was baptised in 1838 in Honily Warwickshire and then her parents moved the whole family to Kenilworth - what details do you have on her marriage - when, where who were the witnesses - maybe we can find a link she has several siblings and I even saw her house still standing where they lived in Kenilworth

Hi Mike,
I believe that you may already have been in contact with my cousin -Charles Courlander- regarding the family search. Charles does not believe that the Courlanders in the UK are related to your family. We have put all our current information on our website with all sources identified.
Our direct family connections through marriage are with the following families all initially around the London area circa early 1800s and with the Courlander family ( real name Schactnowich) in the Surrey area circa 1880s and then Croydon- Sussex.
The families are: Hart;Courlander;Crawcour;Jacobson;Wulfson;Solomon;Phillips- these are the main families. In the case of the Crawcour family - the original family settled in Norwich Norfolk England and then some moved to London and other parts. We have a very detailed history of that family.
Hope this at least helps to clarify the position.
Best wishes,
Phil

He was born c1883 in West Bromwich and I believe he had at least one sister called Minnie. Elizabeth was born in Leicester 20 February 1883. They were married 10 September 1904 and had 13 children one of whom was my Mum. They travelled with a showground (Pat Collins) for many years.

It has been a tradition for many years that the eldest boy each generation is named William.
So my Dad was a William, he was born in 1902 in the Coventry area, exactly where I do not know.
His dad, also a William I think was from somewhere near Coventry, certainly in Warwickshire. I think he was born in the 1870's or 1880's.
Quite possibly there is a connection, if so then please let me know.
regards,
Dave Cashmore

Joseph Cashmore and Alice Nathan

I am fairly certain that I am descended from a sister of this Joseph Cashmore (about whom I have some patchy, but detailed information, mostly concerning his time in residence at No. 1 White Street (now Cutler St.) in London in the late 1810s and early 1820s. This sister of Joseph's was almost certainly called Yitele in Hebrew and Jane in English, dying at 37 Camomile St., nearby in the City of London, in 1841. She married my known ancestor, my great-great-great grandfather, Isaiah Israel, of 10 White St. They named the son from whom I am descended, Cashmore Israel, aand the name Cashmore has been used in the family at regular intervals since then.
I also have from research into archives at the Guildhall in London, some details of trouble with the law concerning this Cashmore Israel, andd what sounds like a close relative - probably cousin? - named Nathan, in 1816.
I would love to firm up my knowledge of connections and perhaps get further back into the Cashmore family roots in this line. I am very willing to share all I know, if you are interested in contacting me at johnisrael@hotmail.com
Best wishes,
John Israel
