Her father was David Nelson and mother was Susan Le-Brevier. She had one brother that I was able to confirm by the name of David and I was verbally told that she had three sisters (names unknown). I cannot access my hard copies at this moment (without waking up the rest of the family) but I will pull them out tomorrow and let you know if I can provide any additional information.
Karen

Hello Ray!
Unfortunately I don't have much more information that what was contained in the original post (marriage license, divorce docket (from Rebecca's 1st marriage) and census records). Joseph was the second husband of Rebecca; my husband's line is off of her first marriage to John M. White (my ancestral brick wall) and their only child David M. White (sometimes referred to as David Cass in census records).
I am trying my best to locate John White and would really like to know if anyone could give me a lead to his whereabouts after 1905.

ISAAC CASS/CASE

Searching for any information on Isaac CASS and his wife Mary MINOTT. They were married by Simon Stevens, 14 March 1784 in Springfield, VT. He appears in the 1790 census of Shrewsbury, VT and in the 1800 census of Wells, VT. Then again in the 1820 census of Poultney, VT. They had at least six children. I believe one of his sons was Ichabod CASS/CASE. Probate records show Ichabod Case of Wells was appointed Administrator of the estate of Isaac CASE late of Poultney in 1823.

I would appreciate any help with this family.

Joanne Hayward

Re: LEWIS CASS

Lewis Cass is my Gr, Gr, Gr grandfather. As I have always heard the story, his son and his girlfriend had a son out of wedlock. This would have been quite the scandel at that time so the baby was "given away" to a German family by the name of Kunkle. I'm not sure if there is a record or if there were legal adoptions at that time. A year later this couple became pregnant again and Lewis Cass forced them to marry. They remained in the same town as the Kunkle family and the boys attended the same school a year apart from each other. People would comment on how these 2 boys from 2 different families looked like twins. I think they later found out that they were actually brothers. I have not been able to find the connection in my search between this child and the Cass family. My grandmother's grandfather was Lawrence Kunkel and he should be the son who was adopted out. If anyone knows any info I was greatly appreciate it.
Teresa
