Hi Pamela,

My mothers side of the family came from San Lorenzo and Rio Peirdres. My mother was 1 of 11 I believe. Her grandfather was Santanino Castro and he was married to Anna Carrasco.

don't give up I found cousins related to my uncle and aunts in 2010 They didn't know their dad had a first wife and child and I posted in 2005 and still finding more relatives have you done the national Geo project for Dna

Hi Luis,

I have extensive information on my Castro line going back to the late 1600's early 1700's up until today but the information you gave is not connected to me. Time frame I am looking as for in Trujillo Alto as far as this line is early to mid 1800's. There are not alot of records for this city during that time therefore I'm trying to find out what I can. Juanita; My Name is Luis Enrique Castro, my Dad was born in Trujillo Alto in the year 1898, he was the son of Silvestre Castro and Rosa Figueroa,they had 4 son and 4 daughters, their names were Ramon,segundo,Juan and Conception, the girls were Andrea, Marcola, Inez and Clemenca, my father Segundo,pass in 1994 in Fords, New Jersey, The rest of his family were sill in Puerto Rico,My Uncle Ramon Lived on Henry Street in Brooklyn N.Y. I remember seeing him once when I was about 8 years old, we lost track of him after that. My great-grandmother was Luisa Castro from Moca in P.R., she died in 1974 and her mothers' name (My great-great grandmother) was Sixta Castro. Luisa had a son by the name of Benito Castro. Luisa had 3 brothers named Andrea, Celintino and Victoriano. Andrea died on a plane he had a heart attack. If this sounds somewhat familiar or if we are somehow related, please contact me cause I'm trying to do our family tree and it stops at Sixta Castro.

His name was Juan Esteban Castro, he lived in Santurce, Puerto Rico around the 1957.I heard a rumor that he passed away in 1997. My father was born in 1958. Supposedly he was in his fifties and was married with adult children.

Google Escolastica Morales Alice, Tx. and click on an obituary of Manuela Guzman, her daughter, for some recent information. Manuela was 3/4 American Indian from New Mexico. Also go to Family Search.com and enter Escolastica Morales for a 1910 Census detailing her huband and children. Escolastica was my great grandmother.

My parents names are Ramon Castro and Petra Leon. From the side of my father my grandfather name was Ramon Castro Lugo, my grandmother was Carmen Castro Enriquez.

From my mothers side my grandfathers name was Jesus Leon and my grandmothers name was Gabriela Ruiz. My father parents lived in Barrio Sabana,Guaynabo, PR and my mother parents lived in Catano, PR.

Hi,

If you are trying to find out about your ancestor, you should start with your mother,father and their parents. My recommendation is for you to talk with your parents as well as your patental and maternal grandparents if they living. They can provide you a wealth of information. If they are not alive you can request their birth centificate which provide you with great information about your ancestor and where they come from. If you really interested, another way to find out about your ancient ancestor is through DNA testing. Your Paternal and Maternal DNA Lineage test will provide you with your ancient ancestor. I ordered my DNA from Ancestry.com and performed the test right in the privacy of my home and send it back to ancestry and I got my ancient ancestors results. I cannot provide you with all the details but if you want the test to be done, you need to contact ancestry.com to find out the right DNA test for you and the fee.

I hope that by providing you with this information you can understand how to find out who your ancestors are.

If you want to look for your relatives you need to provide as much information as you can about them. Right now I'm working on my family project (Castro family)below are some of my relatives information and where they come from.

Well, my Castro family are from Ponce and Catano, PR. My great grandfathers name was Florencio Castro from Ponce DOB: 1875. My great grandmothers name was Maria Elias De Castro she was from Arabia DOB: 1888. Their Childrens; Aguedo Castro, Cirilo Castro, Felicita Castro, and Ramon Castro (my grandfather).

My father name was Ramon Castro Enriquez from Catano DOB 1924 and my grandmother name was Carmen Enriquez Castro from Catano DOB : 1900.

Hi Gail, I have Jose Miguel Venancio Rodriquez b 5/8/1832 in Santa Clara County, Ca usually used the name Ben Rodriquez .
married Dolores Del Carmen Castro. I can give you more info on Ben and Carmen. ( names of their kids) if you want . Let me know

Thanks, Betty, for your connection. You gave us the Rodriguez link which we did not have. I have Joaquin Isidro marrying Maria Trinidad Pacheco, if that is any help.
No more information on that branch until you made the connection.
I have to look up the census record that had a Rodriguez living with Mel's grandmother at one point. we knew there was a connection, just not how.
Looks like your husband is my husband's 5th cousin 2x removed.

I found a Jose rodriguez Duran born 1650 in segovia, spain died 1718 and mother was delia moreira on my family tree.. his father was juan rodrigues duran I know this is way back but I am still working on it.... I got much of my information from a book called "The life and times of Richard Castro" author was richard gould.

I think we may be related. My mother is Elsie Duran, her mother was Tillie Castro married to Frank Duran. Tillies mother was Bernice and father was Desiderio Castro. She had many brothers and sisters but I only know a few names, Uncle Fidel Castro-who was deaf, Uncle Jose LeviCastro-they were twins, and Aunt Estella LaFevre.

thanks to someone else posting familysearch.org i was able to find out a little more about my family, but really not that much.

Antonio Castro was my grandfather born circa 1876 in Zacatecas, Mexico, married my grandmother Juana Lopez (Capeso on the other site, i was not aware of that last name)...they lived on a ranch near Valparaiso, Zacatecas. The name of the ranch was "El Astillero" or "El Rancho El Astillero" property of the Felguerez family.
My mother told me they fled Mexico to California during the Mexican Revolution, that's where my father Luis Castro was born in 1921...they worked on farms near San Bernandino, California.
The only thing I know about my grandfather is that he had a brother whose name was Pablo Castro.
My grandparents had the following children:
Natalia Castro (died in the 1990's in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico)
Felix Castro (female, died in the 1990's in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico)
Francisca Castro (died in the 1990's in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico)
Maria Felipa Castro (died June 16, 2006 in El Paso, Texas, USA)
Juana Castro, living in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico
Antonia Castro, living in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Jose Antonio Castro, living in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico
