Marietta Cerrito

I am looking for information on my great-grandmother. She was Marietta Cerrito born 25 December 1884 in Cefalu, Palermo, Sicilia. She married my great-grandfather, Antonio Scialabba, in 1901 in Allegheny County, PA where their sons were born. The family later moved to California. She died in 1945. I have virtually no information on her family. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for any info on my grandfather John Cerrito, my great grandfather Thomas Cerrito, and my great, great grandfather John Cerrito. I too have an aunt named Fanny, who is a sister of my father Salvatore Cerrito. My father was deaf and hearing impaired. He past away in 1986. Would appreciate any info in regard to his parents and family. Please reply to acerrito@tampabay.rr.com

Fanny Cerrito was born Naples 1817
Daughter of Don Raffaele Cerrito.
A brother Joseph was born two years previously

Fanny was Christened
Francesca Teresa Guiseppa Raffaela Cerrito

I am searching for a link between the Cerrito family and Carter family by marriage any link with:- Carter, Buckingham, or Southworth families would solve a long term mystery.

I have been searching for a long period for Cerrito connection, Fanny Cerrito in question was born Naples and was famous ballet dancer and a favourite of Queen Victoria.

Hi,
We have a Fanny (Frances) Cerrito in the family. She married a Henry James Allen in c1904. She was born in 1876, she was my Great Auntie. Her father was Joseph Julias Arther. the other Fanny Cerrito we have was originally Fanny (Frances) Dungate-Povey, she also married a Joseph Cerrito.
Not sure if they are related, it is a v unusal surname.

Francesca Cerrito was born Naples Italy to Don Raffaelo Cerrito & Donna Marrianna D'Alife in May 1817

Lucinda Buckingham was born London abt 1815 to Thomas Bukingham & Wife Rosina.
It is possible that Rosina's and Francesca's Mother/Father
were Brother/Sister, making them Cousins.

Trying to establish a link between Fanny Ceritto, and Carter family of Marylebone Middlesex, Isaac Carter was Pianoforte Maker, married to Charlotte Southworth. Son, Julius Caesar Carter was a Tailor he married Lucinda Buckingham 1854, Another brother possibly Henry, but no other details.
We have Photographs of Fanny Cerrito pased down through family.

I just read an old message you wrote. My grandfathers name was William Ceretta and he came here from Italy in the early 1900. I think he was born in Illinois. He had 2 or 3 sisters and 1 brother, I think. At least one of his sisters was born in Italy. I was wondering if this sounds like your family at all. Hope so!- Suzy

My gr.grandparents came to the usa in the early 1900's so far I have not been able to find any info. on the web. the name of my gr.grandfather was Ceretto/changed to Ceretta.my gr.grandmothers maiden name was Mattioda. They were from the Turin area of Italy. Any help would be appreciated.
