Cervantes from Nuevo Leon, Mexico or Hidalgo County, Tx

I am researching my husbands Cervantes branch of the family. I know is grandmother Hipolita "Paula" Cervantes was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1915. They immigrated to the US in approx. 1919. I believe her mothers maiden name may have been Cantu. I dont know her parents names. I know she has siblings, Silvester, Philemon and Vernada (sp?). Hipolita passed away in Yakima County, WA in 2000. Her brother Silvester was living in Yakima County as well at the time of her death. I believe Philemon never left Mexico, but I could be wrong. I am not sure about Vernada. If you have any common links, let me know and we can compare notes.

Elidio and Maria are my grandparents, they lived in St.Paul, Minnesota. Angel Cervantes is my father, he lived in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He passed away in 1982.
I have not been in contact with them since I left Minnesota after my fathers death. My Aunt Mary was married to Bernardo Zambrano, Minneapolis. Patrica was married to Juan Alvarado, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Jason also lives in Minneapolis. Josephine was living in Albert Lea.

Most of their children still live in Minnesota.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My grandfathers name was Sabino Cervantes his parents were Angeles Garcia and Sabino. My great,great grandparents names were Higino Cervantes and Matiana Gonsalez. Any common relatives??

My grandfather lived on Central in San Luis Potosi. I have a couple of cousins who still live on that street his name is Rafael.

My grandfather, Noe Cervantes Duque, is also from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Most of his family and quite possibly his parents, circa 1930's, were all Cervantes and from that specific region. Half of our family is still there, with a few in Chicago, Washington D.C., Texas and So. Cal.

K2B is generally considered Hebrew that migrated to Germany (Ashkenazi Jews). This is a maternal line and may be many generations back but can be traced back to the original maternal relatives from Persia. This is many many many generations back of course....

I have just received the results of my mtDNA it says I am K2b. I have no idea what that means.

I tested withFamily Tree DNA.

My mom was adopted the papers said her birth Mom was Mary Louise Beasley and father Henry Davis, born at a St Mary's Hosptal, not sure which one. She was raised in Garfield Co, Ok. This is about all i know. Tricia Smith

My husbands grandfater Pedro Morales Jaxquez also rode with Pancho Villa. He died a natural death with a bullet from one of the many fights he was in with Villa. There is a rifle from America Remembers with Villas picture with Pedro and a couple of oher men.

Gregorio is pictured in the yearbook of the 422nd Technical School Squadron at Amarillo Army Air Field in Amarillo, Texas. The 422nd produced mechanics and technicians to maintain the Flying Fortresses. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching family.

Looking for Julio Cervantes or relatives

My fathers name is Julio Cervantes and I would like to meet him or other family members. I have little information and I don't know how accurate it is.

In the 1970's he lived in Lennox/Inglewood California with Mario Cervantes. His birthday might be Febrary 11, 194?-195?, he was born somewhere in Michoacan Mexico. His mothers name was Carmen Castillo and his dads name might have been Eduardo Cervantes. His siblings were Carmen, Bertha and Jesus Cervantes.

Patrocinia Cervantes, born April 18, 1917 in New Mexico, passed away on December 1, 2009 in Santa Ana. She was raised in Raton, New Mexico and in Cueva Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico and finally settled in Fullerton and later in La Habra (43 years), having worked as a cook at several of the best Mexican restaurants in Orange County- La Chiquita, Las Palmas, Senor Campos, and Pancho Gorto, where she was famous for her chiles rellenos and salsa verde. She is loved and survived by her children: Henry Cervantes (predeceased by Dolores) Fullerton, Jose Alamillo (Modesta) Oxnard, Manuel Cervantes (Eva) Diamond Bar, Soledad Alamillo (predeceased by Sabino) Cueva Grande, Zacatecas, Elvira Alamillo (Serafin) Oxnard, Michael Magana (Patricia) New Mexico, Patricia Mondragon (Florentino) Santa Ana, and Rene Guzman (Pauline) Artesia. She was blessed to also have a host of angels on earth, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. Vigil will be held on Thursday, 12/10, from 5:00 - 7:30 at White and Emerson Mortuary in Whittier. Funeral will be Friday, 12/11, at 9:30 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Habra, and burial will be at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange at 11:15.

you are my relative i believe, just a few days ago i learned that the cervantes family first originated in marseile france in the early 1390s after the bubonic pleague. jens cervante and maria toulalan meet in the early 1490s in madeira spain and they had 5 kids my grandpa said their names were jose manuel cervantes, maria lupe cervantes, xavi cacho cervantes, gloria sandoval cervantes, and fernando lobos cervantes, my direct decendant or my great great great so and so grandfather i then learned that 3 of them moved to Mexico in the 1550s and they each combined to have 12 kids. though my grandpa says he does not remember what happened after he says that after 70 years in mexico xavi cacho and his family moved back to Spain and live in barcelona to this day. a couple of years ago i made a trip to a town in barcelona called madreia and meet my relatives who live in the old family bakery in madreia they told me that the cervantes family had a history of creativeness throughought history in spain.so their is some history message me for more.
