My grandfather Juan Cespedes came to America in the early 1900's from Almeria, Spain. He came through Cuba to get here. My grandma's name was Juana. I am related to carlos manuel de cespedes y cespedes. Im just looking for a direct line to him.I know he is my great? Grandfather somewhere down the line but I have no clue as to who my family is after my great grandmother clara cespedes and grandmother olga perez cespedes please anybody help. My family is from cuba my father was born in manzanillo oriente. Im assuming his family is from there also

I'm looking for anyone with info on Clarita Cespedes married to Richard or Thomas Beattie (early 1900's) They owned Media Luna Sugar Mill en Manzanillo, Cuba. Her son's name was Enrique de Cespedes who married Emilia Valerino Polanco.

Hello. Looking for any information aboutmy grandmother, Amelia Cespedes who married Tranquilino Casas. They lived in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was born October 18 1912.

Hi,
I recently started doing research about my family. What I know is that Maximo Cespedes came from Spain around the early 1900's and then he had Manuel Cespedes Voix around the late 1930's in Cuba; who then had Manuel Cespedes in 1960 also in Cuba.

Hello to all who own the last name Cespedes,

I am trying to find descendants. I am from Chile, My great-grandfather was Zenon Cesped Pulgar ( back then it was Cesped, until the last name change of Cespedes ), he was married to Maria Inocencia Gallardo. From what I have been told, he had two brothers that migrated to Argentina and Cuba. Is there anybody that know this name, might be related to my family and I?

A quick reply for now. My grandfather came to the US in the early 1900's from Ameria, Spain. A cousin of mine has researched our family and we are related to Carlos Manuel de Cespedes. I am a De Cespedes by my mother's side. They migrated from Cuba in the early 60's, but the name is Illustrious in Cuban history. Try seraching for Carlos Manuel de Cespedes. You mentioned that your great-grandparents were from Mexico, do you when tey might've migrated to Mexico. The last name comes from Spain.

I am the great, great grandaughter of Lucas Lopez del Castillo, an uncle of Carlos Manuel de Cespedes. My family information is limited, but I do have an article in Spanish written by Carlos' daughter regarding their roles in the uprising. I believe it is from the 1950s or 1960s. I also recently purchased a book on E-bay that contains Carlos' personal diary and family information. It appears to be a Cuban text book. If you have any questions, let me know.
