Hello I have a Harry Chadderton born 1875 in the Oldham area son of George Chadderton and his wife Sarah Ann nee Kenyon.

Harry married Lizzie Smith 1899 and they had a son George Cyril Chadderton born March quarter of 1912. He married Christina Murrey 1945.

If it is the same one George was one of 7 children the youngest Herbert was a school teacher in the Hollinwood district of Oldham who married into the Ogden family that I am researching. Eileen

My gggrandfather is William Chadderton b. 1830 married Ann Stansfield daughter of Robert Stansfield in 1856. They had the following children: William Jr., Arthur, Emanuel, and Ada. There is a copy of the marriage and John Chadderton is listed as father of William that was born in 1830. By 1870 they are in the US. I haven't found Ann's death but in 1879 William is remarried to Eleanor Soden in Kentucky and his children are with him so I assume Ann died prior to this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do have an area of Woodheft, England from a document and also Ashton Under Lyne if this helps.

I am trying to find any info on JAMES CHADDERTON b1891 Bolton, he married GRACE WHALLEY and had a son HARRY. James left his wife and child in Bolton and went to live in Canada. He travelled on the ALBERTIC and arrived in Quebec from Liverpool 25/6.1927 and went to live with his godfather WILIAM GREENWOOD at 92 Hadley St Cote St Paul, Montreal. That is the last I have heard of him. I know that his wife GRACE and his son HARRY travelled out to Canada on board the MONTCLARE arriving 18/2/1923 St John New Brunswick, but it is not known whether or not she went back to her husband (they had seperated whilst in Bolton Lancashire). It would be great if I could find any out whether or not James and Grace actually divorced and he re married and had any more children

I have discovered that a Joseph Lees Chadderton born 1824 in Oldham England married my great great grandmother, Martha Mitchell in 1881, a second marriage for them both and alas Joseph died in 1883, are we on the same wavelength?

I am trying to confirm the parents of my great grandfather, his name was JOHN CHADDERTON, and he was born in 1862/63, according to the 1891 UK census , he was born in Bolton , and he married my great grandmother ELLEN INES SLATER in 1883, at St Thomas , Dixon Green. Any help would be appreciated.

Dame Eva Turner was the daughter of Charles Turner and Elizabeth.
Charles was born in Standish to Martin Turner and Hannah Whitter.

Hannah Whitter was sister to my g.g.grandmothers Mary Whitter.

The firstborn son, Joseph, I have info on but the other three, Hannah, DOB abt. 1820, John, DOB abt 1821 and Betty, DOB abt 1822 I don't have anything on them. Ellen John moved to Canada (Saskatchewan?)with son Richard (DOB May 25, 1903) daughter Elsie when Richard was a young child. Looking for relatives of my grandparents Garibaldi(bMay19 1886- d1918) & Deborah (nee Hyde b Jan 04 1891- d1923)Chadderton. They emigrated to New Zealand in 1912 with their eldest son John William. They had 2 further sons in NZ - Joseph b1912 & William b1914(my father). I never met my grandparents as they died long before I was born. My father was also very young when they died so had few memories of them. Yes- our family is also from there- so many Chaddertons though - daughter of Samuel -
Elizabeth Ann Chadderton b. 29 May 1844 Dukinfield, married Ralph Kinder 1866 in St. Paul's (Church of England), Stalybridge, Cheshire, England.
the couple emigrated after sending two oldest children to the US in late 1880s.

We visited twice. Actually some were from Dukinfield.
We also visited Wales a few times- lovely- just lovely.
We saw it as clean and prosperous.

Unfortunately I can not help you with Y -DNA. Our Chaddertons descend through Samuel Chadderton's Daughter b. mid- 1800s. He had two girls and we are not aware of any males.
My husband has done his DNA and also a maternal uncle. Both RB1. If your company is doing female DNA perhaps that would help you. have to be all through female descendant to Chadderton though I believe.

Where did yo test? Are you in UK, Aust, US?I did see a Chadderton on local college faculty. What background do yo need for DNA testing? any Chadderton or someone directly connected to you - (for Viking purposes).

E mail you a couple of years ago to update you I just receive result from DNA ancestory kit and its look like my DNA is viking but unfortunately their is no more chadderton on living cousin list but 46 other people match and about 4 have scandanivian surnames.

Taking that you have not bother with the DNA test and another link on photos is that a Cleft Chin is promineint.

Arthur Samuel CHADDERTON

I am trying to find information about Arthur Samuel CHADDERTON who was born 20.11.1881 in Sydney, NSW. Parents were Harry Arthur CHADDERTON and Frances Sutton BOURNE.
He married Lily Alameda PEARSON in April 1921.
Lily remarried in 1949 to John Howland so maybe he died prior to this time as I can find no evidence of a divorce.
Help finding his death would be much appreciated

I am searching for any information on Grace Chadderton Nee Whalley b. 1894. Son Harry b. 1917 of Burnley, Lancashire

Immigration records for June 25, 1927 shows them both coming over under Chadderton to Canada, Port of arrival Quebec along with Edward Chadderton b. 1901 and George Chadderton b. 1910

There were no marriage records for Grace nor birth records for Harry. As I do not have a first name of Mr. Chadderton it has been difficult to find out who he is. Any help greatly appreciated.

I am sorry I am unable to add anything to your search for your Chadderton. My Geandfather's father, Harry Arthur Chadderton left Manchester sometime prior to 1880 and came to Sydney, Australia.It was in November 1880 that he married there. I am not aware for any connection with Canada.
